Oblivion Remastered features a variety of weapons that players can choose depending on their playstyle. Bows in particular have been reworked in this remaster, making them more viable in builds due to the inclusion of the headshot damage mechanic. So if you're looking for a good bow to have in your character's arsenal, the
Frostwyrm Bow is a great pick, as it's an early-game enchanted bow that can apply frost to enemies on every strike. Here's how to get it.
Oblivion Remastered: Where To Find Umbra Weapon & Armor Set
Umbra is one of the most iconic NPCs in Oblivion Remastered that players can defeat to get her sword and an armor set, here's how to do it.
How to Get the Frostwyrm Bow in Oblivion Remastered
Players can find the Frostwyrm Bow by fighting a nightmarish creature at the Dive Rock on the northeast corner of the map in Oblivion Remastered. After arriving at the location, players will need to head directly right and look below the snowy mountains to spot a bluish creature enshrouded in an invisibility cloak of some kind.
Make sure you have a bow equipped with some arrows first. Now, get a little closer to the creature and start firing off your arrows at it. The Uderfrykte Matron will become enraged and start rushing towards the players. You'll need to slowly back away from the creature as you continue the barrage of arrows at it. This is a great way to weaken the creature's HP.
Once Uderfrykte Matron is within melee range, switch to a sword or a mace, and start attacking the creature. It has a large health pool, so this fight can go on for some time. Make sure to let the creature hit first so you can dodge it and start striking your melee weapon at it.
Once you've defeated Uderfrykte Matron, loot its body to get the Frostwyrm Bow in Oblivion Remastered. If you reach the area where the creature was standing before, you'll be able to loot the corpse of its victim, Agnar the Unwavering, to get a fur shield and some other useful stuff.
How to Recharge the Frostwyrm Bow
Frostwyrm Bow offers high DPS stats, alongside its ability to apply frost to enemies on every strike. However, once the enchantment charges run out, it'll become a regular bow that just inflicts damage on enemies.
To restore the enchantment charges on the Frostwyrm Bow, players will need a soul gem or visit a merchant who can recharge it.
