While exploring the lands of Cyrodiil, you will find dozens of different weapons, and while some weapons can be found almost everywhere, others are unique. One of these is the Blade of Woe, and it's a weapon that you can get early in Oblivion Remastered.
This unique dagger is an extremely powerful weapon. In addition, as you progress through the Dark Brotherhood questline, it will become stronger thanks to enchantments. The best thing about it, however, is that you can get it almost at the very beginning of your adventure.
Oblivion Remastered: How to Cure Diseases
Diseases are a curious and sometimes quite annoying mechanic in Oblivion Remastered. Here's how to cure them.
Where to Get Blade of Woe in Oblivion Remastered
Unique weapons in Oblivion Remastered are different from others because they have high stats and powerful abilities. More importantly, they often exist only in one copy, which makes them always difficult to obtain. As such, since the Blade of Woe is a representative of the Unique weapons, it is impossible to find it in any chest or shop. It can only be obtained from one NPC by fulfilling certain conditions. To get the Blade of Woe early in Oblivion Remastered, you must join the Dark Brotherhood.
The Dark Brotherhood has eyes everywhere, so it will be easier for you to make them notice you than to search for them. All you need to do is be at least level 2 and kill an innocent NPC.
It is important to note that many NPCs are related to quests, so you should choose someone inconspicuous.
After you kill the NPC, you need to sleep to accept the sin committed. Any place to stay, including an inn, will do. When you wake up, you will be greeted by a Dark Brotherhood member named Lucien Lachance.
He will tell you about the Dark Brotherhood and that you are invited to become a member. Here, you can exhaust all the dialogue options to get the Blade of Woe as a gift. After that, the A Knife in the Dark quest will begin, which is a test of whether you are truly worthy of joining their brotherhood.
Oblivion Remastered: How Long to Beat
Oblivion Remastered has many main and side quests. Here’s what you need to know about how long it takes to beat the game.
Oblivion Remastered: Blade of Woe Stats
The Blade of Woe is probably the best weapon you can get in the early stages of Oblivion Remastered. It has 100 health, 2 damage, and weighs nothing.
With it, you can stealth kill most enemies. In addition, later on, the Night Mother will put a Demoralize enchantment on the dagger, which will discourage your targets from fighting.
