Players can purchase homes to store their equipment and show off their treasures in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered, and one of the coolest bases of all is the pirate-themed Dunbarrow Cove. Originally added as DLC in the 2006 version of the game, Dunbarrow Cove is available to all Oblivion Remastered players.
There are multiple homes that players can purchase in Oblivion Remastered, but the DLC homes like Dunbarrow Cove are special because they can be upgraded with new merchants, skill trainers, and other amenities. The magic-focused Frostcrag Spire home, for example, allows players to purchase an upgrade that unlocks enchantment tables that are usually only located within the Arcane University. There are quite a few upgrades to purchase for Dunbarrow Cove, and its location underneath Anvil makes it a great place for players to settle down in.
Oblivion Remastered: Best Spellsword Build
The Spellsword offers the best of both worlds for players torn between warrior and mage in Oblivion Remastered.
How to Unlock Dunbarrow Cove in Oblivion Remastered
While the original version of Oblivion added DLC quests to players' journals upon starting the game, Dunbarrow Cove and other DLC quests are more naturally integrated into Oblivion Remastered. To unlock Dunbarrow Cove in Oblivion Remastered, players can ask about rumors in the city of Anvil until they receive the Dunbarrow Cove quest.
Players can also head straight to Dunbarrow Cove themselves instead of waiting for an NPC to tell them about it. Dunbarrow Cove is located in a secret smuggler's cave directly underneath Anvil Castle. The map marker and fast travel point for Dunbarrow Cove are located about 100 meters south of the cave entrance, though. When players get close enough to the cave, the quest will automatically add itself to the journal.
Upon entering Dunbarrow Cove for the first time, players will find it overrun with Red Sabre Skeletons. Clearing the cave is the first step of the quest. Once the cave and Captain's Quarters are cleared of skeletons, players will be instructed to visit Dahlia Rackham at the Clarabella in Anvil Bay to purchase upgrades for Dunbarrow Cove.
All Dunbarrow Cove Upgrades in Oblivion Remastered
Dahlia Rackham is the primary point of contact for Dunbarrow Cove upgrades. The Captain's Quarters has a single bedroll to begin with, but players can spend gold to decorate the area and recruit new crewmates to liven it up.
