The problem is the price of the Spectre Ring, which sits around 14000 Gold, and drops slightly while raising the Mercantile level above 75, which is the skill level that Hamlof Red-Tooth (the NPC that sells the ring) has. But once players sell enough looted items that they can get by farming in the various monster dungeons in Cyrodiil, there will be plenty of budget to splurge on this magnificent piece of jewelry.

The Spectre Ring grants a permanent Chameleon spell effect (25), and also a permanent Feather spell (100), while also fortifying the skills Stealth and Security by 5 points. On the downside, it permanently drains Strength by 10 and Endurance by 5, which is a nice tradeoff, considering the 100 extra carry capacity will more or less diminish the effect of the Strength reduction, and the permanent Chameleon spell can boost stealth exponentially. Plus, if players are going with a Thief or Stealth Archer build, they don't need those stats.
