When you finally join the Thieves Guild by completing the May the Best Thief Win quest in Oblivion Remastered, you will start Independent Thievery. At first glance, it may seem like it simply requires you to steal valuable items and sell them to a Thieves Guild fence. However, after bringing in the items for the amount described in the quest, you will find that it does not update.

This is because Independent Thievery is bonded to all other Thieves Guild quests in Oblivion Remastered. Therefore, to fulfill the condition for stealing valuable items, you will also need to complete the jobs that appear before the Independent Thievery quest will quietly update, increasing the requirements. Below you will find a list of all the jobs that you will unlock during the Independent Thievery quest.

Where to Find More Valuables in Oblivion Remastered

The Independent Thievery quest does not limit you in any way in your thievery endeavors, so you can steal anything and anywhere, of course, except for the Thieves Guild property. However, the further players progress in the quest, the more valuable items they will need to steal. Here are some tips to help you find valuables for the Independent Thievery quest in Oblivion Remastered.

Check the wine cellars, which can be in different houses. One of the most valuable wines you will find in the cellar of Castle Skingrad.
At night, the Market District is a great place to steal valuables. Most stores do not have complex locks, so you will be able to open them.
Focus on finding Valuables, Potions, and other light items. Although armor and weapons can be worth quite a lot of Gold, due to their weight, you will not be able to carry much of them.
