How to Increase Mercantile in Oblivion Remastered

The easiest way to increase Mercantile is to sell items to merchants, based on their value. For this method, it's best to focus on items that sell for more gold, like enchanted weapons/armor/jewelry, and materials like Soul Gems and Gold Nuggets. Once players have stacks of expensive items to sell, sell them all, as each sale transaction will increase the total of Mercantile skill points gained. For the most effective gains, sell expensive items like Grand Soul Gems and Gold Nuggets. What Does Mercantile Do in Oblivion Remastered?

Mercantile is a skill that helps players have a better chance at haggling and selling items for higher prices than their base value, as well as changing to purchase items for less than their sell value. The Mercantile skill is split up into 5 stages, with unique perks added to each stage. Each of which can be found below:

Skill Level	Effects
Novice (0-24)	The value of items you sell is reduced if the item is in poor condition.
Apprentice (25-49)	The value of items you sell is no longer reduced if the item is in poor condition. Merchants may also offer better items.
Journeyman (50-74)	You can buy and sell any item to any vendor. Merchants may also offer even better items.
Expert (75-99)	All merchants have more gold available. You can invest in a shop to permanently increase that merchant's available gold.
Master (100)	You always buy and sell items at the best price possible. Merchants offer the best items they have.
