Oblivion Remastered gives the players all the freedom to explore its world, but it leaves out a lot of details regarding that world. There are many landmarks on the map that you can fast travel to. There are some minor landmarks that can give you great benefits, but aren’t visible on the map. Among these minor landmarks are rune stones, powerful stone formations covered in, well, runes, that give you certain boons when activated. There aren’t any requirements for activating a rune stone, but they can be difficult to find if you don’t know where to look.

What Are Rune Stones, And How Do They Work?
Rune stones are a minor landmark that players can find scattered around Cyrodiil. There are three types of rune stones: Hestra, Reman, and Sidri-Ashak. Each rune stone gives the player a different kind of bound weapon and armor.
Unfortunately, the summoned items only remain for a short amount of time, around 5 minutes of real-world time. However, these stones can be used multiple times a day. They cannot be unequipped until their duration runs out.
Each stone can only be activated once per day, though other stones of the same type can be activated.
