The best companion in Oblivion Remastered can help players push through the hardest battles by providing them with a useful assistant to take hits, smack enemies, and provide decent company. While not every follower in Oblivion Remastered can be considered useful, the majority of them do have aspects that can be considered fun to bring into battle.

The companions in Oblivion Remastered are a tad basic and can't do much outside of taking enemy aggression and getting themselves into fights, as they cannot carry gear. Followers cannot level up, nor can they have their armor and weapons changed or repaired, making them a tad useless in the endgame.

The Adoring Fan will be the easiest follower to recruit, and he can be claimed once players become the Grand Champion of the Arena in the Imperial City. After which, they can recruit any Dark Brotherhood Murderer found within the sanctuary, and these members consist of:

Once players have joined the Mages Guild and completed the questline with Confront the King, they can recruit Mage Apprentices found within the Arcane University of the Imperial City, so long as they are the Arch-Mage and have not been suspended for stealing or murdering. Mage Apprentices use randomised spells, and are most commonly found in lectures on the grounds of the Arcane University.

Once players complete the Knights of the Nine questline, concluding with Umaril the Unfeathered, players can recruit any Knight of the Nine back at the Priory of the Nine. How to Get a Battlehorn Man-At-Arms Follower in Oblivion Remastered

Once players obtain Battlehorn Castle as their home, they will be able to recruit Battlehorn Man-At-Arms as their followers. Battlehorn Castle can be found on the west side of the Black Road, close to Chorrol, and upon clearing the area of bandits, players will be able to speak with the Battlehorn Man-At-Arms to bring him into battle.

How to Get Ushnar's Skinned Hound Follower in Oblivion Remastered

Ushnar's Skinned Hound is a unique follower that can be obtained through the completion of the Ushnar's Terror quest in the Shivering Isles DLC, which is not available to Khajiit players.
