Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist delivers a solid Metroidvania experience packed with abilities, power-ups, and collectibles scattered all across the map. Set in the same universe as Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knight, the much-anticipated sequel takes a massive leap ahead while retaining a lot of what made the predecessor so popular.
Similar to the previous game, equipping Relics is one of the main ways to strengthen your character in Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist. They function similarly to how Charms work in Hollow Knight, with each Relic occupying a specific number of slots in your inventory. This guide will walk you through the process of expanding these slots to maximize your bonuses in the game.
Ranking the 11 Best Metroidvanias
Today, we're covering our picks of the best games in the action adventure platforming subgenre, Metroidvania.
Unlocking More Relic Slots in Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist
Each Relic in Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist has a specific slot requirement. When resting at a Respite, navigate to the Relics tab. The number next to Slots indicates the total Relic Slot you can equip on Lilac. Relics in the game come with different slot costs. For instance, the Attuner's Pendant requires only 1 Relic Slot, while the Cleaner's Tag takes up 3 Relic Slots. You can equip up to a total of 10 Relics at a time.
To unlock additional Relic Slots, players need to collect Magic Vials. These items are limited in number, and each Magic Vial adds one extra Relic Slot that you can use. At the beginning, you'll only have two Relic Slots to work with. However, once you gather all the Magic Vials in the game, your total Relic Slots go up to 35.
Thankfully, a lot of these Magic Vials can be purchased directly from the Craftory in the Old City Market in exchange for Materials. Materials can be obtained by breaking objects such as boxes, ores, and other destructible items throughout the map. Since these objects respawn after interacting with a Respite, farming them becomes an efficient way to gather resources early in the game.
Certain locations also contain a large bundle of materials as a one-time lootable item.
To buy Magic Vials, players must first defeat Yolvan, the Black-Winged Huntsman in the Old City - Lower Stratum area. After defeating the boss and reporting back to Gordon, the Craftory can be accessed by interacting with the cash register nearby.
However, if you want to max out your Relic Slots, you'll have to focus a lot more on exploration. Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist is filled with secret pathways and hidden rooms. While exploring, you'll also come across several Treasures Chests and Glowing Loot on the ground. Some of these Glowing Loot contain Magic Vials that you can pick up to increase your Relic Slot.
Use F ast Travel to return to previous locations after unlocking a new traversal ability to hunt down items you couldn't reach earlier.
Exploration is a key element in Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist. While the game isn't too difficult combat-wise, hunting down every single collectible can be quite daunting. Take your time and tackle one part of the map at a time, and eventually, you'll be able to grab all the Magic Vials to unlock all Relic Slots in the game.
