In survival-crafting RPGs like Enshrouded, players must carefully navigate their environments while hunting for different raw materials. Without them, it can be pretty hard for players to survive in the unforgiving world of Embervale.
Enshrouded: Best Battlemage Skills
Those looking to make the most out of the Battlemage class in Enshrouded should consider using these reliable skills.
As they progress through the game, players will be able to unlock new crafting recipes and get access to more advanced gear. However, in the late-game areas of Enshrouded, resources become increasingly scarce. To overcome this challenge and make survival easier, players should collect and stockpile certain resources as early as possible.
7 String
Used To Bind Things Together
- Can be crafted using Plant Fiber
- Used to craft Animal Fur
String is an essential resource in Enshrouded. It’s a rather common material and is used for creating a variety of essential items, such as the glider, the workbench, and the grappling hook. There are two ways for players to get String: by crafting it or occasionally finding it in destructible objects like barrels, chests, and crates.
Crafting String is a more reliable way of making sure players never run out of this item. To craft one piece of String, players will need 3 Plant Fibers, which can be obtained by harvesting small bushes and plants around the expansive world.
6 Ores
Collect Copper, Iron, and Tin Ores As Soon As Possible
- Copper Ore can be found in Revelwood
- Iron Ore can be found in Kindlewastes and can be used to craft Iron Bars
- Tin Ore can be found in the Nomad Highlands and can be used to craft Tin Bars
In Enshrouded, players can find many kinds of ores, including Copper Ore, Iron Ore, Tin Ore, and Obsidian Ore, in different biomes throughout the map. Copper Ore can be found in Revelwood, while Iron and Tin Ores can be found in Kindlewastes. Depending on the ore’s rarity, players may need higher-tier tools to harvest them effectively.
These ores can be smelted into bars and used for crafting advanced weapons, armor sets, and tools or upgrading the Flame Level. They’re also a part of different alchemical recipes and are essential for every adventurer who wants to make their way to the top in Enshrouded.
5 Shroud Liquid
The Liquified Essence of the Shroud
- Obtained from Puffball Mushrooms in The Shroud
- Used to craft Alchemical Base, Enshrouded Oil, Goo, and Shroud Core
As the name implies, Shroud Liquid can only be found within the Shroud. It is looted from puffball mushrooms scattered on the ground. All players need to do is simply interact with these vegetables, and they’ll get this mysterious liquid.
Enshrouded: Best Early-Game Food Recipes
Finding suitable food options can be hard during the early stages of Enshrouded. Here's a list of the most appropriate recipes to consider.
Shroud Liquid is a key ingredient in many essential crafting recipes, namely Shroud Survival Flasks, Flash of the Fell, Goo, and Shroud Cores. It is also required to upgrade the Flame Altar and strengthen the Flame, so players should collect plenty of Shroud Liquid early on.
4 Charcoal
A Highly Convenient Resource
- Obtained by crafting at a Charcoal Kiln
- Used to craft Bronze Bars, Coal Powder, Copper Bar, Glass, Iron Bars, Metal Sheets, and Tin Bars
Charcoal is an important early-game resource that players should definitely stockpile. Since it cannot be found lying in the open, players have to craft Charcoal by themselves. To do so, they need access to a Charcoal Kiln, which can be crafted by the Blacksmith for 20 Stone. Charcoal requires 17 Wood Logs and 3 Dirt. It takes five minutes for the kiln to process the wood logs and produce 15 pieces of Charcoal.
Charcoal is an important ingredient in plenty of crafting recipes, such as bronze bars, iron bars, coal powder, glass, and metal sheets.
3 Wood Logs
The Fundamental Resource For Crafting and Building
- Obtained from trees by using an Axe
- Used to craft Fired Brick, Paper, Tar, Wood Acid, and Wood Planks
When players start focusing on base building, they’ll quickly realize that Wood is the one resource they should’ve stockpiled. Wood Logs can be obtained from trees throughout the world via chopping with an Axe.
Wood has plenty of uses and can be processed into charcoal, tar, wood acid, and many kinds of building blocks. It’s recommended that players note some good early wood farming spots to return to and pick up enough to fulfill their needs.
2 Flax
A Popular Plant With Many Uses
- Found in Revelwood
- Use to craft Linen
One of the most important things players should do in Enshrouded is to get their flax farms running as soon as possible. Flax is a blue-flowered plant that can be found in bushes around the world. It is an essential resource for crafting higher-tier gear and armor sets.
While it is possible to find Flax by foraging in Revelwood, an area around the Ancient Spire, players are much better off starting their own flax farm. This would allow them to have plenty of flax as they start exploring late-game areas. To do so, players need to take Flax to the Farmer and ask him to turn it into Flax Seedlings. 1 Flax can be turned into 10 Flax Seedlings, which can be planted directly outside the base.
1 Water
The Source of All Life
- Obtained from Wells
- Provides +1 Endurance and +2 Stamina Recharge for 10 minutes
Water is the one resource players will heavily rely on as they try to survive in the rough terrain of Enshrouded. However, when players first start their journey, their water reserves may be lacking, and they’ll immediately need to find ways to stockpile this resource.
Unfortunately, there are no natural water sources in Enshrouded. The only way players can get water is by scooping it from wells or looting water bottles from destructible items. The best approach would be to craft a personal water well using 20 Linen, 100 Stone, and 1 Wooden Bucket. This would help players get a steady, infinite source of water.
