The Epic Games Store has revealed Samorost 2 and Project Winter as its two free games for September 18. In the meantime, Epic Games Store users are able to add three other titles to their libraries.

Between September 4 and 11, the Epic Games Store was giving away Monument Valley. The Battle of Polytopia was also initially promised for this period, but ended up being pushed back by a week. It's now finally available to claim, alongside Ghostrunner 2 and Monument Valley 2.

What Is Samorost 2?

Samorost 2 is a hand-drawn point-and-click adventure game developed by Czech studio Amanita Design, known for its long-standing work in the genre. It follows a space gnome undertaking a whimsical rescue operation for his kidnapped dog, offering charming environmental puzzles, surreal situations, and a soothing electronic score by longtime Amanita collaborator Tomáš “Floex” Dvořák. Samorost 2 has been available on the Epic Games Store since June 2023, though its original release dates back to 2009. Regularly priced at $4.99, the quirky adventure holds over 750 "Very Positive" user reviews on Steam.

Samorost 2 isn't the first Amanita Design title to be featured in Epic's weekly giveaways this summer. The Czech studio's storybook-style adventure game Pilgrims has also been available to Epic Games Store users between July 31 and August 7.
