The last few weeks may have had some of the best free games that the Epic Games Store has given out in 2025 so far, but there are still plenty of good titles on the way. Every Thursday at 10 AM CT, players have the chance to pick up one or two free games for their libraries at no extra charge while also getting to know which titles will be up for grabs in the coming week. This promotion is great for bringing attention to underappreciated game genres and indies, even if most users are waiting and hoping for big-budget titles to pop up on the page every so often. There were plenty of important games recently given away as part of the mega sale, so there may be a number of smaller titles lined up next.
The Epic Games Store giving away smaller games is by no means a bad thing, and gives players a chance to find a surprise favorite for free if they're willing to give them a chance. Currently, fans can get their hands on Two Point Hospital, a management simulation game published by Sega. Two Point Hospital will be available until June 19, and then it'll be replaced with The Operator. The Operator is made by Bureau 81 and will see players trading in Two Point Hospital's medical licenses for FBI badges.
Epic Games Store: A Comprehensive List Of Every Free Game It's Had To Date
Here's a list of all the games that have been made free on the Epic Games Store. You have until January 29 to get the current free game.
Epic Games Store Free Game Two Point Hospital Explained
Two Point Hospital Makes Medical Messes Into Comedy
Where most management sims tend to be a little cut-and-dry, Two Point Hospital is one of the simpler and more hilarious titles out there. It takes place in Two Point County, a strange place where the weirdest things are normal. That leaves Two Point Hospital players needing to cure ailments like Lightheadedness and Monobrow. These conditions may not sound serious, but the former is where patients' heads literally turn into a lightbulb, and the monobrow is a living parasite players might need to shoot at themselves. Almost every medical remedy and incident is some sort of comedic gag from diagnosis to cure, which makes managing it all hilarious from start to finish.
Two Point Hospital might not be filled to the brim with depth or dark secrets like other management simulators, but it's great for a laugh while still requiring some careful understanding of its systems to get through its campaigns. Completing the main career mode should take roughly 40 hours, if players remain diligent about playing it. If players enjoy Two Point Hospital after picking it up for free, the game has plenty of DLC to go around, and two follow-ups in Two Point Campus and the recently released Two Point Museum.

Epic Games Store Free Game The Operator Explained
The Operator Invites Players to Uncover a Story Behind Secretive Cases
As a new, and hungover, agent of the FDI, players will be tasked with solving murders, sensitive missing persons cases, and cyberattacks that threaten said work. Even though The Operator makes fans navigate through a simulated computer system, this isn't a simple office job. Players will need to use their detective skills in The Operator to crack the cases presented, as well as piece together the narrative that lurks underneath it all. Those who enjoy investigative titles will likely find this Epic Games Store freebie to be a challenging way to kill a bit of time.
Unfortunately, according to player reviews, that may be The Operator's biggest flaw. The game is incredibly short for those who are skilled enough already at its puzzles, and some gamers have complained about a section that's made of an hour's worth of cutscenes. If fans overlook these flaws, however, they just might find a new underrated detective game that they enjoy. It's hard to argue against trying it for the low price of free, especially since the main issue with The Operator being so short was that many players didn't think it was worth its cost in the end. Sadly, there are no other games from Bureau 81 yet, so fans may want to check out publisher Indienova afterward if they enjoy it.

The Operator will be up for grabs until June 26 once it's rotated in. That gives players plenty of time to decide if they want to give it a try before it leaves. Those who would like to add Two Point Hospital and The Operator to their libraries should make sure to grab them while they can, as they likely won't be back on the storefront's free games page for a while.
