The game takes inspiration from Mario Party and classic fantasy experiences, offering players a fast-paced co-op adventure with action RPG-like elements. Epic Party Quest joins the impressive catalog of Steam co-op titles that players can enjoy remotely with groups.

The latest release from indie studio Redi Games, Epic Party Quest, calls players back to retro-style pixel art, but also to the nostalgic era of couch co-op that has been less prevalent during the rise of online multiplayer games. With many newer titles opting for online multiplayer instead of local multiplayer, many players worry that the days of couch co-op experiences with their friends have faded into obscurity. However, Epic Party Quest brings a fresh spin to Mario Party-inspired gameplay and offers local multiplayer for up to four players. The game also supports mobile devices as controllers to make local co-op more accessible to groups.

Epic Party Quest casts players as well-trodden adventurers in a battle to prove who is the best hero. Redi Games mixes the gameplay style of Mario Party, one of Nintendo’s best-selling franchises, with RPG elements reminiscent of Final Fantasy and ties it together with a fantastical pixel art style. The game features narrative-forward immersive moments paired with fast-paced minigames, aiming to embody action RPG-like elements in a party game setting. Epic Party Quest is available now on Steam and can be played locally or online with Steam’s remote play feature.

The game’s narrative begins after the heroes complete an epic adventure, but cannot seem to decide who is the greatest hero among them. In groups of up to four, players can customize their hero and choose which retrospective minigames to play to prove their character is the best of the group. Each minigame offers a unique experience, with heroes fighting monsters, racing to gather treasure, battling their friends, and more. Redi Games took inspiration from iconic retro fantasy titles, with each minigame setting paying tribute to “games from the golden era of pixel art," making for another great game for pixel art lovers.
