Etheria: Restart brings turn-based combat into the virtual world of Etheria, with players taking on the role of Hyperlinkers who fight against the corrupt system, Genesis. The world inside the game is futuristic and dystopian in nature, making it quite an interesting place to explore.
Etheria: Restart - Beginners Tips & Tricks
Players trying out Etheria: Restart for the first time can take a look at these tips and tricks to help familiarize themselves with the game.
One thing players will need when exploring and taking on various challenges are Animus. Animus are basically your characters that you will obtain through Summoning, and they will aid you in battles. If you’re having trouble wondering which Animus to pick, here’s a small breakdown of what each Animus offers and which ones are good picks for you.
Which Animus Should You Choose In Etheria: Restart?
The best thing about starting out in Etheria: Restart is that players have the chance to choose an SSR during their first summon. It will take you 40 pulls to try, but accumulating the required resources to pull can be down through story and mission progression. It’s all in a day's work and fairly easy to complete. Here’s an overview of the characters you can choose if you want a more relaxed gaming experience:
Tiamat (Extremely Versatile)
She’s your best bet going into the game as she’s not only the easiest to build, but also the easiest to use. If you’re familiar with these types of games or just want to play in a more relaxed capacity, Tiamat is a safe bet. She’s an extremely versatile Animus who can attack, shield, and heal. She’ll basically carry you through the game, and she’s a great starter SSR to pull for.
Helkid (Strong Carry)
Helkid is your next best option, and that’s because he’s a great Carry for any team. He offers a reliable shield and a decent damage output as a DPS and Support.
The next few options depend purely on your choice of aesthetics and playstyle, as these Animus are also quite good starter options.
Rilmocha (Aggressive DPS)
Rilmocha is a great option because she’s an aggressive DPS who is not only self-sustaining, but also great in AoE DMG. She's very good at dungeon runs and quest runs, making her a great option for players.
Borgne (Good Attack, Good Survivability)
Borgne is quite a unique Animus and not a bad pick at all. He brings a very interesting skill to the team and also has the ability to heal himself. He’s quite the overwhelming pillar of strength, and despite not being able to crit well, he still packs a mighty punch with his ATK (which is directly linked to his survivability). He’s also rather easy to build, so if you like his appearance and are willing to forego his singular active skill, he’s a great choice for players.
Lilith (Strong AOE Damage, But Challenging)
Lilith is a pretty decent option for any player because she not only brings in a huge amount of AoE Damage, but her playstyle is very elegant. However, she’s not easy to use as you need to strategically place her in battles to take advantage of her turn mechanics. Her ultimate skill is her hard-hitter, so you need to be smart in setting the stage for her.

This Etheria: Restart guide will explain how players can re-roll to get different characters in this awesome game.
Beyontin (Strong Support Animus)
Beyontin is a great option if you’re looking for a powerful Support Animus. She provides huge buffs to the team, and since you’re getting Lian for free, pairing the two of them together is something you should look forward to. She’s also a great healer, making her quite a versatile option in such instances.
Rahu (Durable Support, But Challenging To Play)
Rahu is a niche pick and this is only for players who like to challenge themselves. He scales off defensive and requires a lot of strategic placing as a Support character. He can transfer negative effects to enemies and also trigger follow-up attacks, and because he’s built off defense, that means he’s quite durable in a lot of teams.
Rosa (Strong Attacker, But Not Much Else)
Rosa is your classic heavy-hitter, and to be quite frank, that’s all she does. She’s not very versatile, but she deals a lot of damage with her AoE debuff and follow-up attacks. She has a ‘no mercy’ playstyle, so if that’s something you enjoy, she’s a great addition to any team.
Final Thoughts - Making The Right Choice
At the end of the day, it’s always best to first decide how serious you want to be as a player. If you want to use a character that will challenge you in the game, it’s best to opt out of this list of options and go for an Animus like Khloros, Xiada, Celince, Tsukiyo Mi, Mia, Kloss, and Veronika. Do not choose Lingluo, as you will receive her for free through completing certain missions.
