The Best Games To Play If You Love Persona 5 Royal
Those who love Persona 5 Royal will likely enjoy games like Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Yakuza, and other fantastic titles that fit into the same vein.
These games are not sequels and prequels of the same genre and instead explore different genres. This makes it hard to provide a ranked list that most people will agree with, as some players will like some genres while disliking others.
7 Persona 5: The Phantom X
A Gacha-Inspired Game for Persona Fans
Persona5: The Phantom X
Many players may have been shocked to see a Persona 5 branded gacha game. However, longtimefans should not be quick to disregard this game. The game is not only fun but also a real treat for fans, regardless of whether they drop money or not. All the charm, narrative, and gameplay are present, along with surprises and minigames.
There is a new protagonist and plenty of characters to randomly unlock through a gacha system. While the game is present on PCs, it shines the most on mobile devices through quick bursts of play. Gacha games are not for everyone, but this is one that many Persona fans will not be disappointed when trying out.
6 Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight
A Toe-Tapping Rhythm Game Using the Persona 5 Soundtrack
Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight
This isn’t the first Persona game to test the waters with a rhythm game spin-off. Persona 4 saw a similar spin-off with Persona 4: Dancing All Night. Both having killer soundtracks from their respective sources. Players will need to time pressing specific buttons on opposing sides of their controller when prompted to do so. These prompts align with the beats of the music occurring during the game.
Persona 5 Tactica May Be a Black Sheep, But It Deserves a Sequel Anyway
Persona 5 Tactica may not have left players stunned, but the game's formula has more than enough promise to lead to another spin-off.
Players that keep up with the correct timing will build up a combo to get the best score possible. This will appeal to fans of rhythm games, but players expecting the same JRPG action as the original Persona 5 may want to pass it on.

Fans of the original Persona 5 will see all the characters they love with a whole new adventure and a whole new way of playing. Players that enjoy turn-based games owe it to themselves to try out the many tactical RPGs (TRPG) out there. These also go by Strategy RPGs (SRPG) and can feel wildly different from one another.
Players will need to think carefully of where to position each character in their party, as well as how best to use their actions. Players trying out this genre for the first time can find it a little overwhelming, but this is the perfect option for Persona fans to test the waters.
4 Persona 5 Strikers
Persona 5 Meets Dynasty Warriors
Persona 5 Strikers
Omega Force are the developers behind one of the most well-known musou games, Dynasty Warriors. Musou games involve an action combat system being used to mow down hundreds, thousands, or even tens of thousands of enemies per level.
Why Persona 5: The Phantom X Surpassing Royal's Peak Player Count is Only the First Hurdle
Persona 5: The Phantom X has already claimed one major milestone, but that achievement is only a small part of its road to success.
This game serves as a direct sequel to the story of Persona 5, but changes the turn-based combat into a real-time action one. Players that loved the story and characters of Persona 5 and want more should definitely check out Strikers.

Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth released exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS. While the title may not have Persona 5, it uses the branding as its primary focus. This game is actually a crossover affair between Persona 5, Persona 4, and Persona 3.
The character models for Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth are noticeably more chibi, as was the case for a lot of handheld titles at the time. This works in its favor, as it provides a new stylized tone for players. This is not meant to be a canon affair, and the game is able to deliver a fun experience.
Players who are not fans of the Persona games will be doing themselves a great disservice by playing this title before any of the others. This is a title best played after trying all three of the previously mentioned games.
2 Persona 5
The Hyper-Stylized JRPG That Started It All
Persona 5
The original Persona 5 is the next entry in the Persona series after Persona 4. However, like each main entry in the franchise, it is not a sequel to previous games. Persona 5 serves as the most stylish among all previous mainline games and has one of the most engaging stories among them.
Persona 5 set the stage for all other entries on this list and is such a standouttitle that none of them were able to snag a place above it.

The mainline Persona games are no strangers to receiving an enhanced version sometime after their original release. However, these enhanced versions are not remasters or definitive editions. Persona 5 Royal takes the original game and expands upon it the same way Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 FES expanded on their respective mainline entries.
This game adds new story content taking place after the events of the original game, adds new characters, new confidants, a new palace, the Thieves' Den, and improved gameplay mechanics.
Players that bought the original Persona 5 will find that Royal is well worth it. New players on the other hand should skip the original game in favor of Royal.
