It took over 15 years, but fans of the Evil Genius real-time strategy game have finally been delivered a sequel. Evil Genius 2 launched on March 30, delivering an experience where players build an evil lair and then act out a plan for world domination. Having taken 15 years to get to this point, developer/publisher Rebellion has no intention of stopping now. New Evil Genius 2 content is out now, as the Cabal DLC pack was released Thursday morning.
The Cabal Pack is a $4.99 piece of DLC for Evil Genius 2 that includes a variety of new content, the biggest addition being the new Henchman Espectro. In addition to Espectro, players will get four new skins for Evil Genius 2's other four henchmen, the R.A.Y.G.U.N. Interrogation Device, the Cabal Indoctrination Chamber that allows players to change their henchmen's skin, as well as new side story objectives to complete.
The Cabal Pack is the first of six different DLC packs that will be included with Evil Genius 2's first Season Pass. It's what Rebellion calls a Henchmen Pack, of which there are two in the Season Pass. There are also two Minion Packs, a Lair Items Pack, as well as a final, larger Campaign Pack DLC for players to download. The Evil Genius 2 Season Pass costs $24.99 for all six DLCs.
Those who purchase and install the Cabal Pack DLC will be able to use the new content in their new Evil Genius 2 campaigns. As noted, the DLC is currently available on Steam for either $4.99 standalone or $24.99 in Evil Genius' Season Pass. Expect more DLCs to drop month to month going forward, plus a potential second season if Evil Genius 2 proves successful.
Evil Genius 2 is available now on PC.
