The Cozy Companions event in Pokemon GO introduced two new Pokemon to the game from Gen 8, Snom and Frosmoth. As of the time of writing, the event is about to kick off. However, if you're reading this after the event, you can still get Snom and evolve it into Frosmoth --it's just way easier to do it during the Cozy Companions event because of the Friendship Level bonuses.
If you've managed to get yourself a Snom during the event, or just as a regular spawn/5 km egg, then you might be wondering how the heck one evolves Snom into Frosmoth in Pokemon GO. I'm sorry to report that the process is not easy. I'll explain!

How to Evolve Snom in Pokemon GO
To evolve Snom into Frosmoth in Pokemon GO, you must first increase the friendship level of your Snom and get to 10 hearts. Once you've done that, you'll need to gather a whopping 400 (yes, 400) Snom Candy, and then you can evolve it at nighttime.
It's actually the same amount of Candy needed for a Magikarp to evolve into a Gyarados.
Even if you have met all the requirements, Snom will not evolve during the daytime.
How to Increase Friendship Levels Fast and Get Candy for Snom
The first thing that you should do once you catch a Snom is to set it as your Buddy Pokemon. Your current Buddy Pokemon's icon should appear next to your player icon on the main map screen. Click on it, then scroll down to the "Swap Buddies" option.
For some reason, you can only change your Buddy Pokemon up to twenty times a day.
Now, once Snom is in your Buddy slot, you can tap it to see its profile. Look underneath the Play and Quick Treat buttons to see a list of activities. Doing these will increase the friendship level of your Snom, and eventually, you'll be able to evolve it into Frosmoth.
Some of the things you can do to increase friendship fast are to walk with your Pokemon, feed them treats, partake in battles, compete in Raids, take photos, etc. As you can see, there are numerous options available.
And to get more Candy for Snom, you will also want to keep it as your Buddy Pokemon (this rewards you Candy over time), and also make sure to use Pinap Berries whenever you find a wild Snom or Frosmoth. The berry will give you more candy for the capture.
