EA just unveiled another deep dive into F1 25 and everything fans can expect from the upcoming title. The latest Deep Dive video focused on F1 25's presentation upgrades, with a sizable slate of new visual and audio changes.
The next entry in the F1 series will be arriving later this year, and is poised to improve a number of elements surrounding the franchise. Previously, the team revealed that the upcoming F1 25 will be improving the career-focused My Team mode, bringing in some sweeping changes to the way the mode is played. This includes the removal of the 'Owner Driver' role, as fans will now have to manage two drivers rather than focus on one.

F1 25's Presentation Upgrades Explained
Following the previous F1 25 Deep Dive, EA Sports has unveiled a range of upcoming presentation changes in its latest reveal. This new Deep Dive goes into a variety of presentation changes, including both visual and audio elements. A number of new customization options were also shown, including new ways to increase the authenticity of a car's decals and sponsored liveries. Moreover, the presentation also revealed new info for F1 World, including a new Invitational mode and a 'Driver of the Day' system.
LiDAR Circuits And Reverse Tracks
Some of F1 25's upcoming circuits will be reaping the benefit of updated LiDAR scan technology. With a mix of the EGO Engine and LiDAR scans (which, to oversimplify, involves scanning real tracks with Light Detection and Ranging systems to make their in-game equivalents all the more authentic), a number of tracks are being presented with greater detail than ever before. The Bahrain, Miami, Melbourne, Suzuka, and Imola tracks will all benefit from LiDAR scans, meaning that their in-game designs will account for every detail of the real-life circuits, formed from millions of data points via these scans. This breadth of detail will include the correct species of vegetation accenting every track, as well as accurate mapping for every bump and bit of shading.
This isn't the only way F1 25 will be changing the game for F1's history of tracks. For the first time, fans will be able to race through a number of tracks in reverse. Silverstone, Zandvoort, and Red Bull Ring will all have the capability to be played in reverse within Grand Prix, Time Trial, and Multiplayer modes. These reverse layouts will also be available to be added to Career modes from the second season onwards.
More Customization and Enhanced Details
F1 25 will be doing a lot to enhance the F1 series' realism, and the nitty-gritty of presentation upgrades shows a lot of promise for this goal. The PC version of F1 25 will have an exclusive 'Path-Tracing' component, a version of ray-tracing that takes indirect light sources into account. When it comes to the game generally, fans will be able to benefit from new audio interactions between drivers and engineers, as well as real-world driver radio audio. Moreover, the pool of real-world driver voicelines has been doubled, including voice lines for pole positions and flags. Driver Career and My Team will also gain new media and paddock scenes, starring the voices of Natalie Pinkham, Anthony Davidson, and Naomi Schiff. Podium cutscenes will also receive an upgrade, with crowd sizes changing based on the circuit. As well as the above, NVIDIA Audio2Face will allow for far more detailed facial animations.
Furthermore, that's only scratching the surface of F1 25's visual upgrades compared to its predecessors. When playing My Team, the sounds a player's engine makes will be based on the engine supplier. Moreover, official cars can now receive special edition liveries, whereas in the past these liveries could only be applied to F1 World cars. Flashbacks have also been improved, changed in such a way to improve their clarity of use for newer players.
In terms of F1 25's changes to customization, there's a great number of new elements to peruse. Sponsor authoring has been totally revamped, as players are now able to create liveries that are more consistent with their official counterparts. Liveries can be rotated and scaled, and the game's fictional sponsors now have more complex decal designs. Building up loyalty with sponsors will also allow players to drive around with designs focused on a primary sponsor. In general, players will have much more choice regarding these decals, and won't be forced to slot them into fixed spots on their car.

F1 World Changes
Invitationals and Improved Driver of the Day
In addition to the announcement of presentation upgrades, the new Deep Dive also broached the topic of F1 25's changes to F1 World. A new collaborative mode, dubbed Invitationals, will be available within F1 World. Invitationals will allow players to join special multiplayer events, with each Invitational granting the player a one-time key to a single multiplayer race with specialized mods and properties. Players can partner up with friends to race against AI drivers in this mode, earning points by beating other drivers and completing objectives. Each Invitational will have a number of prized tiers, requiring players to work together to score enough points to move up. Up to 10 players can attend a single invitational.
Further along the lines of promoting collaborative play is F1 25's improved Driver of the Day system. The new UI for this system highlights positive play and makes sending friend requests easier, allowing fans to immediately team up with other drivers. Players can earn accolades such as 'Most Overtakes' or 'Cleanest Drivers', and the new Driver of the Day system will help players reach these other players when forming a team for Invitationals. The mechanic's Positive Play Awards are there to promote non-toxic play, positive player interactions, and opportunities to befriend other players and form a community.
