Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater brings back all the mechanics, equipment, and over-the-top action cutscenes from the original. If you're playing MGS3 for the first time, you may have noticed an item in your inventory called the Death Pill. The item is a great way for players to play dead to fool enemies and get back up, using the revival pill to launch a sneak attack. However, there's also a revival pill to counteract its effects. Here's how to use both effectively.
Beginner Tips & Tricks in Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater
These beginner tips in Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater will set you on the path to becoming a legendary stealth warrior as Naked Snake.
How to Use the Death Pill in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater
The Death Pill is an espionage item designed to reduce Snake's vitals to an incredibly low level, giving enemies the impression that he's dead. It's an item that's available from the very start, and players can find it by browsing their item quick slot or the inventory. This is a last resort item that can be used to avoid confrontation with an enemy or experience unique interaction with all the bosses in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.
To use the Death Pill, players can simply browse their item quick slot and use the pill, which will immediately cause Snake to fall on the ground. Once the death animation is concluded, players will be greeted by the normal game-over screen. This is great for tricking enemies into thinking that Snake's dead, and they'll pass by his body and resume patrolling like normal.
Using the Death Pill will unlock the Mostly Dead trophy in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.
How to Use the Revival Pill in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater
The Revival pill is an item that counteracts the effects of the Death Pill, allowing Snake to end the charade and spring back into action. Once players consume the Death Pill in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, they'll have exactly a minute to use the Revival Pill to bring back Snake. Failing to do so will shift the "Snake is Dead" screen to "Time Paradox" and result in Snake actually dying. This will prompt players to continue from the last saved point in the game.
To use the Revival Pill, players must open up the item quick slot during the game-over screen. If you manage to consume the Revival Pill within one minute of using the Death Pill, Snake will be back on his feet and will be able to continue through the level as normal.
