Episode 9 centers around Yano and Yoshida's study session at the latter's house. It's full of great moments between the two and shows some real development in their relationship. It's one of the highest-rated episodes of the season and continues a hot streak the series has been on recently.

This Monster Wants to Eat Me is one of the most interesting series the fall 2025 season has to offer. After losing her family due to an accident, Hinako no longer has the will to go on. But when she meets a mermaid named Shiori who, alongside other monsters, is drawn to Hinako's blood, Hinako agrees to let Shiori protect her until she's at her most delicious. Only then will Shiori make good on her promise to eat Hinako and end her suffering.

Episode 9 features some great back and forth between Shiori and Miko, giving two unique perspectives from both characters that really flesh them out and help us learn more about them. There's also a massive revelation that will definitely affect Hinako and Shiori's relationship throughout the rest of the series, so that'll be fun to keep an eye on in future episodes.

Dusk Beyond the End of the World is definitely one of the most unique series the fall 2025 season has to offer. After protecting his foster sister, Towasa, from a would-be assassin, Akira is put into cryogenic sleep. 200 years later, Akira wakes up to find himself in an unfamiliar world that's governed by a mysterious organization called OWEL. Despite not having a great overall score, individual episodes of Dusk Beyond the End of the World always seem to score high. It's an ambitious original project that definitely deserves a shot if you haven't checked it out yet, with the latest episode having some incredible revelations that should make for an interesting conclusion.

The surprise hit of the fall 2025 season is Gnosia, an adaptation of the 2019 visual novel of the same name. The series follows protagonist Yuri, who wakes up on a spaceship with amnesia. But things get worse when Yui learns that one of the other crew members is a Gnosia; an infected person compelled to kill others. When voting on who the crew thinks to be the Gnosi doesn't work, Yuri is sent back to when she initially woke up. Now stuck in a time loop where nothing remains consistent, Yuri must figure out the answer to this puzzle once and for all.

Gnoisia has an interesting, if not all that unique premise. But the anime has been winning over fans week after week. It might just be one of the better fall 2025 series when all is said and done.

In My Hero Academia, some humans have superpowers called quirks. Izuku Midoriya, nicknamed Deku, is not one of them. Deku has always idolized heroes like the number one hero, All Might, and since he was a child, he has always wanted to be a hero. However, his lack of a quirk has always held him back, but a chance encounter with All Might after discovering a classmate in danger sets Deku on the path to becoming a true hero. My Hero Academia centers around Deku and a class of heroes-in-training at UA. This school shapes young quirk users into future heroes through fake rescue missions, combat training, and other hero-tempering tasks. With young Deku inheriting the "One-For-All" quirk, he will learn what it means to be a true hero while facing off with dastardly supervillains.
