Fall Guys Mobile: Crossplay and Cross-progression Explained

Fall Guys Mobile allows players from all platforms to compete against each other in a seamless crossplay experience; here’s what you need to know.

Technically, Emotes in Fall Guys fall under the Theatrics category. However, since most players commonly refer to them as Emotes, we'll stick to that terminology to avoid confusion.

Fall Guys’ Emote Changes Explained

The Emote Wheel was introduced in the Fall Forever update, replacing the previous method of taunting. Before the update, players could simply press the directional buttons on the D-pad (or number on the keyboard) to perform any of their four Emotes. Now, they need to hold a button to open the Emote Wheel and select the taunt they wish to perform.

The Fall Guys developers explained that switching to the Emote Wheel was necessary to accommodate more social features like the Phrase Wheel and Piggyback. They pointed out that the previous button layout limited their ability to introduce new features. However, it's worth noting that the Fall Forever update faced significant backlash from the community due to these changes, with many players expressing frustration over awkward keybindings.

In Fall Guys, Celebration is an animation played only when you win a Crown. To change your current Celebration, head to the Customizer menu and open the namesake tab under the Theatrics menu. From here, you can decide which Celebration dance will be played after each victory. (You will need to unlock more Celebration animations via Show-Bucks from the Store.)

How To Get New Emotes In Fall Guys

One way to acquire new Emotes is by unlocking Fame Pass rewards, though there's no guarantee that each season will include free Theatrics. A reliable method for obtaining Emotes is to purchase them from the Shop using Show-Bucks. Additionally, certain Events, such as “Find Your Fall,” may reward you with Emotes for completing limited-time objectives.
