A prominent leaker has recently revealed that he does not believe that Fallout 3 Remastered will be announced at the upcoming Fallout Day. While not completely unsurprising, considering how Bethesda indicates that the broadcast will be aimed at existing titles of the franchise, this is certainly disappointing for Fallout 3 fans who can’t wait to see a revamped version of the open-world role-playing game.
Originally released in 2008, Fallout 3 is the first entry in the popular post-apocalyptic franchise to be developed by Bethesda, as previous mainline games were made by Interplay and Black Isle Studios. Fallout 3 proved to be a huge hit, selling over 12 million copies in its lifetime. Fans have been asking for a remaster for years, and documents from the FTC trials during Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard indicated that there were plans for a Fallout 3 remaster at Bethesda.

The upcoming second season of the Fallout TV show along with a major moment for New Vegas could result in an excellent opportunity.
Leaker Nate the Hate Don't Think Gamers Will See Fallout 3 Remastered Announced During Fallout Day 2025
Leaker Nate The Hate recently talked about the rumored Fallout 3 remaster, commenting on a post announcing the upcoming Fallout Day 2025, which will happen on October 23, at 1 pm ET. One fan asked Nate if there were chances for the announcement of Fallout 3 Remastered, and the leaker answered that he would be “very surprised” if Bethesda mentioned it “this early.” This is further corroborated by the wording in the post, which says that the Fallout Day 2025 broadcast will feature “news about the existing Fallout games.”
This is not the first time that Nate The Hate has indicated that fans have a long wait until they can finally play the Fallout 3 remaster. Back in April, for example, Nate confirmed that it “would be a while” before gamers saw Fallout 3 Remastered. At least, these comments indicate that the development of the game is continuing, and the project has not been canceled.
It would be surprising to see Bethesda canceling the rumored Fallout 3 remake, though, especially when considering how successful Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered was. After being shadow-dropped, Oblivion Remastered reached over 4 million gamers in only three days, and it was featured among the best-selling games in the United States. Unfortunately, there’s no indication of when Fallout 3 Remastered may be released, as Bethesda has not openly talked about it. Earlier reports indicated that Bethesda originally expected the game to be released in the same year as The Elder Scrolls 6, so a launch date around 2026 or 2027 would not be entirely surprising to most fans.
