Fallout 4: 23 Best Weapon Mods
For fans looking to add more gun options or better looks of the original weapons in Fallout 4, here are some great mods to install.
Fallout 4 offers an incredible storyline, lots of buildings to explore, far-off lands to check out, and, as of 2017, its very own official mod package. The Creation Club allows players to buy various mods made by Bethesda Devs and other small creators. From dogs and new settlement items to entire questlines, there are lots of exciting things that players can purchase from the Creation Club.
6 Fantasy Hero Set
Bring Skyrim To Boston
- Iron Helmet
- Iron Sword
Despite being released back in 2011, Skyrim is still a very popular game. Because of its popularity, some very smart developers created a mod that brings a small part of Skyrim to Fallout 4. This mod allows players to get their hands on the iconic Iron Helmet and Steel Sword. These are designed to be replicas of items that can be found in Skyrim.
Like a lot of Creation Club items, the Fantasy Hero Set comes with a small quest. While it isn't a very difficult quest, it adds a little more depth to the Hubris Comics location. This add-on is a must-have for all the Skyrim fans out there who are playing Fallout 4.
5 Captain Cosmos
Become Captain Cosmos
- CC-00 Power Armor
- Captain Cosmos Space Suit
- Cosmic Cannon
As most Fallout fans know, Captain Cosmos is the main character in a pre-war comic series. This series was very popular before the bombs fell. In fact, the Captain Cosmos character had his own radio and TV series.
This Creation Club mod allows players to become Captain Cosmos. It comes with a small but interesting quest that gets players to check out Hubris TV Studios. Once there, they will find the Captain Cosmos Space Suit, CC-00 Power Armor, and the Cosmic Cannon.
The Cosmic Cannon has a pretty cool special effect: it can freeze and disintegrate enemies. The Captain Cosmos Space Suit is a type of Hazmat Suit that is effective in high-radiation areas. Meanwhile, the CC-00 Power Armor set is close to the X-01 Power Armor set in stats.
4 Virtual Workshop
Build Without Limits
- More Than 40 New Craftable Items, Weather, And Music Options
- Four Locations That Players Can Build In
Virtual Workshop is a very ambitious mod and a must-have for those players who love building settlements. It allows players to leave the Commonwealth and travel the virtual world to build settlements in unique and exotic environments.
Best Settlements For Endgame Builds In Fallout 4
When looking to settle down during Fallout 4's endgame, these cozy settlements are just the ticket!
Whether the player wants to head to Galaxy News Radio Plaza or a deserted island, there's a place to suit all tastes. The build limit in these places is also very generous, which allows players to create cool and unique buildings. Couple that with the plethora of new build items that come with this mod, and it becomes a worthwhile package for all builders.
3 Settlement Ambush Kit
Prepare For Battle
- Endless Waves Of Enemies To Kill
- Security Cameras And Monitors To Place In Settlements
- Lots Of Cool And Unique Craftable Items
This mod is perfect for those who have done everything there is to do in Fallout 4. Players can use this mod to build settlements that are more secure. They can add things like working cameras, and watchtowers to keep a lookout and make sure that their settlement is safe.
It also brings in a fun side quest, "The Endless War." Once activated, this quest brings in endless waves of enemies that try and take over a settlement. It's the player's job to fight them off. After every 10th wave, a special unique boss spawns for the player to kill. This is a very fun mod for players who love to build and love to take on challenging enemies.
2 Honorable Mention
Horse Power Armor
- A Full Set Of Horse Power Armor
The Horse Power Armor mod gets an honorable mention for its bizarre and funny appearance. This mod is exactly what it sounds like. It allows players to go around in Power Armor, which is designed to look like a Giddy-up Buttercup toy horse.
This strange-looking Power Armor has three Giddy-up Buttercup heads on the top of the helmet. It is a variation of Raider Power Armor., offering high damage resistance, good energy resistance, and decent radiation resistance. This mod doesn't serve much purpose other than to be a fun and unique item that players can obtain.
There is a small quest that comes with this mod. While it isn't a very long quest, the notes that the player finds while going through this quest are actually pretty interesting, and provide the some context behind the Horse Power Armor set.
1 Tunnel Snakes Rule!
A Fun And Clever Throwback
- Classic 10MM Pistol
- Tunnel Snakes Outfit
- Ultimatum
Those who have played Fallout 3 will immediately know about the Tunnel Snakes. They are a small 'gang' located in Vault 101. That said, it's more of a collective of high-school bullies than a gang.
The leader of the Tunnel Snakes, Wally Mack, apparently traveled with his gang from the Capital Wasteland to the Commonwealth. Unfortunately, things didn't turn out too well for the Tunnel Snakes. Without giving any spoilers, the quest that comes with this mod sees players track down the Tunnel Snakes and walk away with a few unique items that are straight out of Fallout 3.
