Fallout 4 is full of wonderful things for players to discover as they explore the massive Boston Commonwealth. As would be expected, this post-apocalyptic world is full of dangerous creatures, vicious raiders, and hidden locations, like the Bridgeway Trust Bank, which can only be found with enough exploration.

Just like other Bethesda titles, Fallout 4 features the option to enable a command console that allows for activating different cheats, giving players any item they want, and other useful things. Some can be great to make the game easier or spawn certain enemies in strange locations, whereas others can be used for traveling without limits. Here’s how to enable the Noclip Command in Fallout 4.

How To Enable The Noclip Command In Fallout 4

Exploring and finding different ways to access a building or a restricted area is part of the Fallout 4 experience, so activating the Noclip Command, especially if you're a newcomer, will probably ruin your experience and the fun you might have by playing normally. But, if you're certain that you still want to try it out, or if you're a veteran player who's completed the game several times, then this command will prove to be extremely useful. To activate the Noclip Command in Fallout 4, all you have to do is:

  • Press the tilde key (~) on your keyboard, this will bring up the window to enter console commands.
  • Type in “Toggle Collision”, or “tcl” (without the quotation marks).
  • Press Enter.

If you did it right, you'll quickly notice that your player is moving without restrictions in any direction that you want them to. Provided you're reading this from outside the US, chances are that the tilde key will not bring up the command console, and you'll have to experiment with pressing other keys on your keyboard to find the right one.

Fallout 4: How To Scrap Everything

Exploring the Boston Commonwealth means finding tons of useful and useless stuff. Here's how you can easily scrap everything in Fallout 4.

What Is The NoClip Command Used For?

The Noclip Command console can be used for many purposes, including freedom of navigation throughout the map. By enabling it, the Sole Survivor will be able to fly through walls, ceilings and even go under the map, which not only allows you to have a clear view of where you are and where you’re going, but also to access certain buildings that are restricted. As stated earlier, this can take away from the experience if you're a newcomer who's just completing the game for the first time, and it’s strongly recommended that you stick to playing the game traditionally if you want to get the full Fallout 4 fun. The same goes for getting items, such as screws, which are more fun to find scattered across the Boston Commonwealth than to simply have them being added to your inventory through the command console.
