Bethesda introduced settlement building to the Fallout universe with Fallout 4, and one player has built an absolutely ridiculous tower in the RPG with the tools available. Because the console version of Fallout 4 offers modding, not just the PC port like older installments, many fans have also messed around with mods to create impressive monuments that still feel accurate to the surrounding environment.
With Fallout 4 and its DLC packs, there are many building options to choose between in the settlement menu that can be opened with a workshop from the base set to the Nuka-World merchandise. Utilizing these tools, players have created towering Fallout castles, fortified bunkers that could repel any invader looking to defeat the Minutemen, spiffy pre-war houses, and more. With the help of a couple of mods, one Fallout 4 player has added to the library of impressive workshop creations made since the RPG's 2015 release with their height-focused tower.
Reddit user Sirbalz has garnered 40,400 upvotes on a Fallout 4 screenshot highlighting their tower built on one of the pieces of overpass rubble that litters the post-apocalyptic Boston commonwealth. With a statue and some fortifications visible on the base level, the bottom of the tower is similar to the Massachusetts State House which players will discover as part of Fallout 4's Freedom Trail quest. From this level, Sirbalz has stacked what appears to be at least seven progressively smaller buildings, with a small tower topping the structure which appears to offer one of the best views in the commonwealth.
Because it isn't obvious what mods have been used to create this tower, it's possible that Sirbalz is only using the mod that's absolutely necessary to create this immensely large tower which is called No Building Limits or Settlement Height Unlocked. Given how many materials would be required, it doesn't appear to suffer the same limitations as most Fallout 4 settlements based on the height of the creation, as most players will need to gather many junk materials just to mimic half of the build. Though it's considered one of the tallest settlements in Fallout 4, it will be interesting to see if Sirbalz's viral tower is eventually surpassed by an even more impressive structure in the future.
Given that settlement building is just part of the Fallout 4 side content offerings, the attention to detail in Sirbalz's tower and the pieces required to make it hint at just how much time the player has spent in the Boston commonwealth. Though Bethesda is set to launch Starfield later this year, many fans may continue to explore the customization options to make more amazing Fallout 4 workshop builds in anticipation of a new mainline Fallout title.
Fallout 4 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions coming in 2023.
