One talented Bethesda fan put together an impressive trailer that imagines what a Fallout 5 set in Scotland would be like. Bethesda officially confirmed that Fallout 5 is happening back in mid-2022. Starfield Fan Builds Brotherhood of Steel Zeppelin from Fallout 4
A Starfield fan with a knack for engineering recreates the Brotherhood of Steel's Prydwen zeppelin from Fallout 4 in Bethesda's latest game.
The latest example of such efforts comes from YouTuber Mojo Swoptops, who authored an impressive trailer for a Fallout 5 set in Scotland. With a runtime of nearly three and a half minutes, the concept video manages to present post-apocalyptic versions of plenty of locations across Scotland, including the Scottish capital of Edinburgh and its largest that is Glasgow. Apart from nailing the varied Scottish architecture, Mojo Swoptops also went through the effort of modeling run-down versions of many retail outlets that would normally be seen in the country, such as those of telecom operator O2, bakery chain Greggs, and food and clothing retailer Marks and Spencer.
Mojo Swoptops' concept seemingly combines the color palettes of Fallout 3 and Fallout 4, featuring many muted shades of brown, gray, and blue, all infused with a heavy green tint. The trailer is the YouTuber's second attempt at making a Fallout-inspired map in Ubisoft's 2018 shooter, having been preceded by an impressive Far Cry 5 recreation of Goodsprings from Fallout: New Vegas. Reflecting on their latest achievement, the YouTuber explained that they did their best to make these Fallout 5 concept environments as varied as possible, in spite of any personal biases. "I'm actually from Edinburgh myself and had to consciously avoid just focusing on Edinburgh, as much as I'd have loved to," they explained.

The scale of this impressive Fallout 5 concept trailer helps underline how far Mojo Swoptops has gotten in their efforts to pioneer unique settings created with the Far Cry 5 map editor. The YouTuber has been consistently tackling such projects for years now, having recreated everything from the Eiffel Tower to the Resident Evil 4 village in Far Cry 5.
While the lore of the Fallout franchise has a global scope, the series itself has always been firmly focused on presenting an alternate history of the post-WW2 United States. As such, a standalone entry set outside the U.S. Remains unlikely, at best.

Fallout is a post-apocalyptic RPG franchise created by Interplay Entertainment and developed by Black Isle Studios, before Bethesda Softworks took over the IP in 2004. The series features a retrofuturistic style following a nuclear war that devastated the game's world. Players typically inhabit a Vault Dweller, someone who remained safe in an underground shelter, appearing in the post-apocalyptic world where a problem needs to be solved. While the older games were more tactical RPGs, Fallout 3 took the franchise into the first-person shooter genre, while also retaining the RPG elements.
