Pipe Guns are the most versatile and underrated firearms in Fallout 76. They have a wide range of gameplay uses, due to the sheer number of mods you can apply. In addition, you can efficiently utilize them with perks. They are straightforward to find and use, and they take some of the most common ammo in the game, which is cheap to maintain once you have the perfect weapon build.
Still, knowing where to find them in-game can save you a lot of time and create an excellent farming route to obtain more mods for them. Here are all the Pipe Gun locations in Fallout 76, so you don't have to scour every location in Appalachia.
Fallout 76: How to Get Unstoppable Monster
Here's how to get the Unstoppable Monster melee weapon in Fallout 76 to use with your bloodied melee build.
All Pipe Gun Locations in Fallout 76
One of the best locations to find Pipe Guns in Fallout 76 is Vault 76. When you spawn outside Vault 76 using the fast travel point, head to your right. You will find a Responder corpse that has a Pipe Gun Pistol on its body, as shown in the picture below.
However, if you can't find a Pipe Gun at Vault 76, there are some additional places you can find Pipe Guns in Fallout 76:
- Flatwoods: After using the fast travel point, head to the first house on your right. You will find the corpse of Sofie Yates, who dropped a Pipe Gun on the ground next to her.
- Morgantown: You will always find a Pipe Gun in the M-3 lockbox. However, you will need access to the Back on the Beat public event to unlock the bank where you can find the lockbox.
- Nuka-Cade: The Nuka-Cade is located in the Nuka-World On Tour Location. You can purchase a Pipe Gun if you earn 200 Nuka Points by playing arcade games there. Exchange the Nuka Points at the Prize Terminal to receive the Pipe Gun as a reward.
- Unleash your creativity and enhance your gameplay by crafting and modding Pipe Guns at a Weapons Workbench. This empowering process allows you to tailor your weapons to your playstyle, giving you a unique edge in the Wasteland.
- Scorched and Super Mutants: Most Scorched and Super Mutant enemies will either use Pipe Guns, or have them on their bodies when slain. Killing these enemies makes it easy to farm them if you go to a location filled with these types of enemies. The best location for Scorched is Poseidon Energy Plant WV-06, and the best location for Super Mutants is the Grafton Dam.
To gain new Mods for Pipe Guns, you can scrap them at any workbench. Doing so will unlock new Mods that you can use to create the perfect Pipe Gun build. In addition, perks like Gunslinger and Riflemen can be applied to them based on the type of modifications, like equipping a stock on them.
