Stingwings in Fallout 76 is a larger, mutated version of the scorpionfly. Their terrifying appearance comes from their protruding mandibles and scorpion-like tails, ending with a dangerous stinger they use to inject their victims with poison.
They are essential creatures to find, just like Grafton Monsters in Fallout 76, when completing the Stings and Things daily quest to demonstrate bravery by battling bugs for Pioneer Scout Leader Treadly to earn your Tadpole badge. You may also need to take a picture of them or scrap their barbs to produce Acid for timed challenges. However, knowing where to find them and how to defeat them can be tricky due to their behavior. Here are all Stingwing locations in Fallout 76, so you don't have to scour Appalachia to find them.

All Stingwing Locations in Fallout 76
There are only a handful of locations where you can find Stingwing in Fallout 76. The most consistent location is Bleeding Kate's Grindhouse, but you can head to five additional spawn locations if other Vault Dwellers have already killed them here.
Here are all Stingwing locations in Fallout 76:
- Beckwith Farm: Several Stingwing will be flying around the farm.
- Big B's Rest Stop: You will find Stingwing in the southeast area of this location near the pond.
- Bleeding Kate's Grindhouse: Stingwing nests are attached to the movie theater screen.
- Old Mold Quarry: Stingwing are supposed to spawn around the water of the quarry, but I have only found floaters here. However, it is worth a trip as the Energy Weapons Bobblehead can spawn inside the building.
- Treetops: You'll discover Stingwing northeast of this location.
- Whitespring Resort: Look for Stingwing between the Route 83A marker and the Snake symbol on your map. They will find a white building that serves as the resort's maintenance facility.

How to Kill Stingwings in Fallout 76
Fighting Stingwings in Fallout 76 can be a thrilling yet challenging experience. These creatures often appear in swarms, utilizing their unpredictable flight patterns and poisonous stingers to their advantage. They are fast, erratic fliers, typically attacking in groups of three to five. Their hit-and-run tactics can make it difficult to land a hit without V.A.T.S. In addition, your vision will blur temporarily from the Stingwing's poison if stung. They have high radiation damage resistance but are vulnerable to poison damage. If a Stingwing is not aggressive, you can maintain distance, shoot it, and switch to a melee weapon if it gets too close for comfort.
