Fallout 76 has had a good streak of events as of late. A Halloween mini-season brought some morgue-themed rewards to chase while populating Appalachia with Spooky Scorched, and it ran alongside a free Fallout 1st trial that showed just how valuable Fallout 76’s Scrapbox can be. After a few days off, Fallout 76 has started up an event longtime players may be familiar with: Treasure Hunt. This event hasn’t had new items added to the pool for its last few appearances, and this latest run is no different, but it has such a wide range of unlocks that newer players and veterans who don’t already have all the items shouldn’t miss out on the chance to play this week.
Fallout 76’s latest Treasure Hunt will run from November 6 to November 10, and for those who haven’t taken part in it, it’s fairly simple. Players will find Treasure Hunter Mole Miners all throughout Appalachia, as they don’t only spawn in typical Mole Miner locations. So long as players are not fighting a scripted group of enemies tied to a quest, and are out in the open-world as opposed to an interior location, they’ll run into Treasure Hunters quite often. Whenever one of these Legendary Mole Miners is killed, players will want to check the Pails they drop for loot, as they will be filled with special plans and other items worth collecting. The pails come in three variants — Dusty, regular, and Ornate — with each tier increasing players' chances to get rare drops.
Players can also craft Mole Miner Pails by purchasing empty Pails from vendors and crafting their own loot-filled Pail at a Tinker’s Workbench.

Fallout 76’s Treasure Hunt Event is a Boon For Newer Players
If you recently started Fallout 76 for the first time, or came back after hearing how much it’s improved (or because of the hype surrounding Fallout’s TV series), this event is truly a must-play. I’m someone who came back to Fallout 76 after over half a decade away from the game, as I dropped it shortly after launch due to the state of the game at the time. This makes me the perfect target audience for the latest run of the event, as all the items that can drop are things that I still need. There are a few really cool plans in particular I’m hoping to get, though.
I recently started building CAMPs in Fallout 76, and while it didn’t take long for me to max out the budget of my log cabin, I still have an entire shelter to design. Naturally, it’ll be decorations I want the most, so I’d be thrilled to see the cute Snallygaster, Wanamingo, and Scorchbeast Queen Plushies drop. As someone who loves fishing in Fallout 76 and wants to create a fishing CAMP at some point, the TV Aquarium is another must. The Neon Light Diner Clock and Grafton Monster lamp would also be fun to get. Outfit-wise, I’m desperate for the Pink Sprinkles Power Armor Paint, Missile Launcher Atom Cats Paint, and the animal-themed backpacks. Even if I get just a few of these items, I’ll be thrilled, and I’ll be looking forward to the next appearance of the greedy Mole Miners to snag the rest of the items.
For dedicated players who have all the loot in this event, it’s still a decent way to farm Legendary Scrip and Caps since they can drop from Mole Miner and Ornate Pails (Dusty ones do not have these drops). While the Treasure Hunts will resume on December 4 for those who want to wait for the TV show and Burning Springs hype to be at its peak, getting in one event run now and another in December gives players a far better chance at obtaining all the potential drops.
