Radtoads are hostile mutated toads inhibiting swamps and forests of Appalachia in Fallout 76. These creatures resemble giant toads with two extra limbs. They attack players using their tongues and can also launch Radtoad Eggs, causing AoE damage upon impact. While Radtoads typically don't drop rare items, players may need to hunt them during certain Daily and Weekly missions to earn S.C.O.R.E. Points. If that's the case, here are the best locations for finding and farming Radtoads.
If there are no Radtoads in the following locations, try switching to another server. Simply return to the main menu and log back into the game.

Best Locations To Find Radtoads In Fallout 76
The best regions to search for Radtoads are Toxic Valley and Savage Divide. These areas serve as the primary habitats for these radioactive creatures. More precisely, players should explore Grafton Dam and the Sludge Hole to locate and hunt down Radtoads.
- Grafton Dam (Toxic Valley): This contaminated dam, situated near Grafton Station, serves as an ideal spot to farm Radtoads. Approximately five of these mutated creatures spawn near the water and in the surrounding areas. (Players should be prepared for encounters with stronger enemies in Grafton and equip high-level gear accordingly.)
- The Sludge Hole (Savage Divide): Near Wendigo Cave, this small outpost frequently hosts two to three Radtoads. This location is particularly suitable for lower-level players as it presents a more manageable threat compared to Grafton Dam. (While in the Savage Divide region, players should also explore Beckwith Farm for additional Radtoads.)
During active events like Project Paradise and Fasnacht Day, players can anticipate encountering more Radtoads either within the event area or as part of the waves of enemies.
How To Deal Critical Hits To Radtoads
A Daily Challenge in Fallout 76 might task survivors with “Dealing a Critical Hit to a Radtoad,” offering around 250 S.C.O.R.E. Points in return. To fulfill this objective, players need to fill their Crit Hit Meter by targeting mutant toads in V.A.T.S. Mode. Once the meter is full, they must lock onto a Radtoad in V.A.T.S. And shoot while holding the Y button (Triangle on PlayStation).
To replenish their Crit Meter more quickly, players can equip a weapon infused with a 3-Star Legendary Effect known as “Lucky.” This perk accelerates the gauge's regeneration process by 15%. (Since Radtoads are mid-range attackers, any long-range weapon with this perk would be ideal to complete the objective.)
