Cigarettes are more than just a stress-reliever in Fallout 76. In fact, they serve as a junk item that can be broken down into cloth, which you can use for crafting many different kinds of clothing and armor. There aren't a ton of spots where the item can be found, making it difficult to farm it.
In this guide, we will show you all the best places to visit where you can get multiple cigarettes to add to your inventory. This will help you to repair your items and create new clothing, as well as complete a few different challenges.

Where to Find Cigarettes in Fallout 76
If you are having trouble finding cigarettes in Fallout 76, this section will provide you with a few different locations that will have multiple cigarettes available for you to loot.
Flatwoods
To find the Flatwoods, you will want to go to the western portion of the map. The town can be found directly south of Vault 76, and east of the Vault-Tec Agricultural Research Center. In the town, you'll eventually locate the tavern, the red building with a few NPCs inside. Go upstairs, and there will be a few cigarettes and cigars on the tables and on the ground.
Drop Site V9
Next, to locate Drop Site V9, it can be found in the southeastern section of the map. You can find it north of Overgrown Sundew Grove, and southeast of Flooded Trainyard. Head inside the small building, and then make your way to the back left where there is a blue console. Sitting on it, you'll find multiple cigarettes and packs of cigarettes.
Palace of the Winding Path
Finally, we will be visiting the Palace of the Winding Path. This spot is located in the northern region of the map, a little bit to the east. You can find it southeast of The Crater, and north of Monongah Overlook. Throughout the house, you should be able to find three cigarettes. They can be found in typical areas where cigarettes are often located, such as in ashtrays, on desks, in dining areas, etc. We found one on the fourth floor inside a desk drawer.

How to Use Cigarettes in Fallout 76
After you've gotten yourself some cigarettes, there are multiple ways you can utilize them. This includes:
- Breaking it down into Cloth
- Using it to complete the 'Collect a Cigarette, Cigar, or Lighter' daily challenge
You can find the challenge on your map under Daily Challenges, and you will need to grab at least 5 to complete it. After you've done so, you'll receive 250 S.C.O.R.E points in return. Keep in mind that you can also pick up cigars to complete it, which can be found in the Flatwoods Tavern.
