There are lots of events in Fallout 76, all varying in difficulty. Some can be completed by a single player, while others require lots of assistance. One of the events that sits right in the middle in terms of difficulty is Line In The Sand. This event sees players taking on hordes of Scorched enemies.
Fallout TV Series Was Massive for the Video Games
Microsoft reveals that the success of Amazon Prime's Fallout TV series has boosted player counts for games such as Fallout 4 and 76.
While it isn't the most popular event in Fallout 76, during Holiday and Spooky Scorched events, Line In The Sand becomes highly sought-after, with players hopping from server to server in the hopes of finding it. This article will go through all there is to know about completing Line In The Sand.
How To Complete Line In The Sand In Fallout 76
Line In The Sand is a random public event. Public events automatically trigger on the hour, 20 minutes past the hour, and 20 minutes to the hour. Since there's no guarantee of the event being Line In The Sand, players may need to server-hop a couple of times to find this particular underrated event.
Line In The Sand itself is pretty straightforward and can be found right outside of Fort Defiance. Players will need to head there and defend a Sonic Generator from 3 waves of Scorched Enemies. While the objective is simple, the event can be surprisingly challenging, especially for low-level players. Not only do regular Scorched enemies spawn for this event, but a couple of Scorchbeasts will also join the attack.
If the Sonic Generator is broken, then players will need to fix it within 60 seconds or the event will fail. To avoid this happening, be sure to keep an eye on the Sonic Generator's durability bar at the top of the screen.
Players can also fix a handful of turrets around the Sonic Generator. These will help to fend off some of the attackers.
If one of the turrets kills a Scorched enemy, then you won't receive any XP for the kill unless you have tagged the enemy with a normal weapon first, so maybe it's best to keep the turrets offline.
You'll need to take out every Scorched enemy to complete the event. They will come from all directions, so it's best to stay in the center, close to the Sonic Generator. If you are a relatively low-level player, then you may need a little bit of backup, but veteran players should be able to complete the event with relative ease.
Rewards For Completing Line In The Sand
The rewards for completing Line In The Sand aren't anything too special. Players can expect to receive the following for completing the event:
- Caps
- XP
- Ammo
- Random Junk
- The Chance For A Plan
While they aren't the most exciting rewards in the game, there is a small chance of being awarded one of the game's rarer plans for completing the event — plans like T-51B Power Armor Pieces and some other plans that are considered to be somewhat rare.
After the event, it is worth going inside the building to look for the Red Asylum Uniform. On the third floor inside Fort Defiance, there are 3 possible spawn locations for the Red Asylum Uniform. While it may not be as valuable as it used to be, it is still incredibly hard to come by — there's less than a 1% chance of it spawning — but it's worth a look, just in case.
