Fallout 76: Leader Of The Pack Event Guide

There are lots of events in Fallout 76. Some are good for grinding XP, while others are great for stocking up on legendary items. One event players seem to overlook is Leader of The Pack. While the event doesn't offer the best rewards in Fallout 76, it is a good event for farming wolves, finding legendary items, and possibly getting some rare apparel. Keep in mind that this isn't a public event, so check out the World Activity screen on the menu to see if the event is active on the server you are on.

How To Complete Leader of The Pack

Go To the Forest Region

When the event is active, you can fast-travel to the area for a few Caps. The event takes place in the Forest region, between Transmission Station 1AT-U03 and Aaronholt Homestead. Once you've loaded in, you'll hear Melody Larkin calling out via a Responders alert requesting help taking down some rogue wolf packs that are roaming around the area. This is a timed event, but if you get there fairly soon after it starts, you'll have plenty of time. It only takes a few minutes to complete.

Hunt Down Packs of Wolves

There are a total of three wolf hordes you need to take down. Each pack is located in a different area, and can be anywhere within the northern part of the Forest region. For the most part, they are located around Tyler County Fairgrounds and Aaronholt Homestead. To complete the quest, you'll need to kill the leader of each wolf pack, who will be a 1-star legendary enemy. Be sure to loot their bodies after taking them down. The order in which you kill the wolf packs doesn't matter. Once you've killed all three leaders, the event is complete, and you'll receive some rewards.

Sometimes, there's another event that happens immediately after this. Upon killing the third pack leader, you may be tasked with killing one last wolf leader. It is unclear why this happens, but it's a good way to get some extra rewards. If this extra mission pops up, simply head to the wolf pack and take out the leader.

The rewards for this event are fairly standard. You'll obviously have the legendary items from the wolves you killed, and you'll also receive a mix of the following:

XP
Caps
Ammo
Chems/Meds

If players manage to get their hands on one of these apparel items in Fallout 76, they are highly encouraged to keep them.

There's also a small chance of receiving a piece of rare apparel associated with the Forrest region. While there is less than a 1% chance, a small chance is better than no chance! By completing this event, you'll have a 1% chance of receiving one of the following items:
