The release of the Milepost Zero update has fans divided. While there are some who are enjoying the new caravan feature, there are others who feel disappointed by the repetitiveness of the caravan events. That said, whether the player is a fan of the update or not, there's a new weapon that has been introduced to Fallout 76 that most players will want to get.

It's not the best weapon in the game; however, it is a fun weapon with a unique appearance. Since the weapon is somewhat hidden, there are a lot of players who don't know about its existence. Here's how to get the V63 Laser Carbine in Fallout 76.

How To Get The V63 Laser Carbine In Fallout 76

Theodore In Fallout 76

Completing Skyline Valley Caravan Events will award you with some supplies. Supplies can be used to hire people, upgrade Milepost Zero, and increase the efficiency of your caravan running events. In order to be able to get the V63 Laser Carbine, you'll need to unlock Theodore. Theodore can be purchased from Marley for 150 supplies. Once purchased, he will appear at the back of Milepost Zero.

Theodore is an ammo merchant. As his name suggests, he'll sell various ammo types. However, once he has been ranked up to tier 1, he'll have a quest for you to complete. Ranking him up to tier 1 will cost 250 supplies. Since players can earn up to 50 supplies per tier 3 caravan event, it will take a little while to save up enough supplies to rank Theodore up.

As for the quest, it is very simple. After you have ranked him up to tier 1, go and talk to him. Ask him about his history with Vault-Tec. After he explains what he used to do, you'll see a quest called Unconventional Weaponry pop up on screen. To complete the quest, follow the steps below:

  • Head To Shining Creek Cave
  • Once Inside, Head Through The Cave And Make Your Way To The Waypoint
  • The Schematics To Craft The V63 Laser Carbine Can Be Found Inside A Safe
  • Craft The V62 Laser Carbine
  • Return To Theodore

Crafting the V62 Laser Carbine isn't particularly expensive. Simply head to any weapon workbench and craft the weapon. Once you have returned to Theodore, you'll be able to purchase mods for the V63 Laser Carbine. A crafted V63 Laser Carbine can be traded with other people. This can be a good way to make some extra caps, since not everyone has this weapon.

To start, the V63 Laser Carbine is a unique looking weapon. It has a very Vault-Tec feel to it, and it definitely stands out when compared to most of the other energy weapons in the game. As for legendary effects, you can either roll for effects or apply any effects you have or know to the weapon. While the ideal effects will vary from gamer to gamer, a lot of players are looking to get the quad effect on the V63 Laser Carbine to increase its ammo capacity.

The weapon also comes with a default effect. The damage increases as the heat increases. What this means is that the more you fire the weapon, the more damage it will do. It has relatively low recoil, a decent damage output, and its reload time isn't particularly long. All in all, the V63 Laser Carbine is an all-round great weapon that is definitely worth getting.
