Fog Crawlers are hard-to-kill enemies that have featured in multiple Fallout games. In Fallout 76, these guys can cause quite a lot of damage. They can even kill a player in one hit if the player isn't very well protected.
While they are usually best avoided, sometimes players will need to kill Fog Crawlers. Whether for daily and weekly challenges or for their loot, players will find themselves going toe to toe with these enemies from time to time. However, it feels like whenever you need to find a Fog Crawler, they go into hiding. So, this guide will go through all there is to know about Fog Crawlers.
Fallout 76: 6 Hardest Combat Challenges
These Fallout 76 combat challenges ask players to take on tasks that will take them hours upon hours of gameplay, along with some luck, to complete.
Fog Crawler Locations
There are a few locations where Fog Crawlers can be found; however, there's no guarantee that they will be there. Sometimes, they don't spawn. Other times, somebody will beat you to it. With that in mind, here are some locations where Fog Crawlers often hang around:
- Creekside Sundew Grove: 3 Fog Crawlers
- Dabney Homestead: 3 Fog Crawlers
- Pylon V-13: 2 Fog Crawlers
- The Parking Lot at Braxson's Quality Medical Supplies: 3 Fog Crawlers

It's also possible to see Fog Crawlers during certain events. If you are looking for Fog Crawlers, be sure to check out these events:
- Moonshine Jamboree
- Fog Crawler Hoard Events
- Primal Cuts (Only Available During Meat Week)
- Some Workshop Defense Events
Killing Fog Crawlers
Fog Crawlers are tanky enemies. They have a decent damage resistance and can cause lots of damage to players if they are not careful. This is particularly true for low-level players. In fact, Fog Crawlers can sometimes outright kill players with just one hit.
Thankfully, like every enemy in Fallout 76, the Fog Crawler has its weaknesses. Firstly, they don't have any ranged attacks. This means that a Fog Crawler can't hurt you if you aren't close to it, so keep your distance and use a ranged weapon. Second, Fog Crawlers are completely immune to radiation and poison damage, so stick to using ballistic weapons when fighting them. Finally, automatic weapons with armor-piercing rounds are great at taking down these beasts. Just be sure to bring a lot of bullets if you are a low-level player.
Fog Crawler Loot
Fog Crawlers can be quite good for players who need lots of Antiseptic and Fiber Optics, since both of these components are pretty rare. Fog Crawlers reliably have these components on them, so they are great for hunting for extra supplies. They also sometimes have weapons, armor pieces, and Caps for some reason. Finally, they also drop Raw Fog Crawler Meat on them. This can be a great item to cook up and sell for some extra Caps and XP.
