There are a lot of timed events that pop up during the year in Fallout 76. While Fasnacht Day is often seen as the most popular one, there are more than a few players who enjoy taking part in Invaders From Beyond. This event takes place over a two-week period a couple of times a year, and it sees players attempting to fend off alien attackers.

When Invaders From Beyond Starts (And Where To Find It)

Alien Siphon In Fallout 76

At the top of every hour, Invaders From Beyond will automatically trigger. This happens on every server, and it's a public event, meaning that it's free to travel to. As for its location, there are a few locations where this event takes place. They are as follows:

  • Charleston Capitol Building
  • Garahan Mining HQ
  • Monogah
  • Sparse Sunder Grove
  • Wavy Willard's Water Park

At the top of the hour, one of the locations will be selected, seemingly at random. This will be the event location. While the reason for it having multiple spawn points isn't clear, it does help to prevent players from going AFK during the event.

Invaders From Beyond Event Guide

Downed Alien Kappa In Fallout 76

To fight off the invasion, you'll need to take on Captain Zeta. However, this boss doesn't spawn until enough enemies have been killed. The main elements of the event can be broken down into three stages:

  • Defeat Lieutenant Kappa.
  • Defeat Captain Alpha and Captain Omega.
  • Defeat General Zeta.

Defeating Lieutenant Kappa

Lieutenant Kappa is the first boss that you'll need to take down. In order to bring him out of the spaceship, you'll first need to examine the Brainwave Siphon. This will be clearly marked and is pretty difficult to miss. Once this has been activated, the event will start. It's important to wait a minute or so before examining the Siphon to give other players the chance to join the event. Once the siphon has been examined, enemies will start spawning, and you'll only have 10 minutes to complete the event.

L ieutenant Kappa will come down once 30 aliens have been killed. Alien enemies spawn in thick and fast, so be mindful of their attacks. While veteran players in top-tier armor shouldn't have a lot of problems absorbing alien attacks, newer players will take a considerable amount of damage from these foes. That said, dying during a public event isn't really much of an issue since you simply respawn close by.

Lieutenant Kappa, just like all enemy bosses, has more health than the standard alien. However, it's relatively easy to take down, especially if there are lots of players participating in the event. It doesn't wear much armor, so it has a pretty low damage resistance, making it pretty easy to deal with.

Defeating Captain Alpha And Omega

After Lieutenant Kappa has been taken care of, you'll need to destroy the nearby Brainwave Siphon. After this siphon has been destroyed, it will emit a large energy pulse, so it's best to keep some distance. Once the first Brainwave Siphon has been destroyed, you'll need to move on to the next one. The next siphon will be close by — it will be highlighted on your HUD. Just like with the first section, you'll need to kill another 30 aliens to draw out the next bosses.

Both bosses will spawn next to each other. You'll need to take on both before you can move on to the final part of the event. Captains Alpha and Omega are both Alien Drones. They are pretty small, well-armored, and their attacks can be pretty powerful if you aren't wearing a decent set of armor. However, they are pretty slow-moving, so it usually doesn't take long for all present players to fill them full of bullets.

Defeating General Zeta

After killing the two captains, you'll need to destroy the nearby Brainwave Siphon before moving onto the final objective. General Zeta is the final boss and has lots more health than the two captains and Lieutenant Kappa. You will need to kill another 30 enemies to draw out the captain. But once the captain spawns, you'll need to work fast to take it down, since not only does Captain Zeta have lots of health, but it also inflicts quite a lot of damage with its attacks. General Zeta is an Alien Invader, meaning that it has some pretty sturdy armor. Taking General Zeta down usually requires a few players, as it has lots of health and a very high damage resistance.

Once General Zeta has been killed, the only thing left to do is destroy the final Brainwave Siphon. After you've done this, the event is complete, and you'll receive your rewards.

Fallout 76 players will want to ensure they can continuously generate resources in CAMP. Here's which resource generators are must-haves.

Alien Types In Invaders From Beyond

Alien Battle In Fallout 76

Aside from the boss aliens, there are four different alien types that spawn during this event. It is these aliens that you'll need to kill to draw out the bosses.

The first type is the standard Alien. These are armed with an Alien Blaster. While this will cause some damage, it usually isn't enough to kill you.

Alien Invaders are considerably tougher than the standard Alien. These enemies are armed with either an Alien Disintegrator or a Shock Baton. They do more damage than a regular Alien, and they also have lots more health.

Alien Drones are small flying robotic creatures that shoot laser beams at the player. While they do have a fair amount of health, their slow movement speed makes them pretty easy to take down. However, it's worth noting that some Alien Drones will explode upon death. These explosions can cause a lot of damage to players, so it's best to try and keep some distance.

The final alien type is the Flatwoods Monster. These creatures have been in the game for a long time and can be found roaming throughout Appalachia. They can teleport, which makes them pretty tricky to aim at using V.A.T.S. However, outside of that, their attacks aren't all that powerful, and they are generally relatively easy to take down.
