From public and seasonal events that draw in the whole server, to small and sometimes even hidden events that only veteran players know how to activate, there's a lot to do. Among these, Irrational Fear is a fun but often overlooked event in Fallout 76. It's not a public event, so players aren't notified when the event is active. How To Complete Irrational Fear

This event will pop up randomly, so it's always worth keeping an eye out on the World Activity section on the map menu. As mentioned above, this is not a public event, so players aren't notified when it's active.
The event takes place in the same place every time, so it's easy to see if the event is active. Irrational Fear takes place just n ortheast of Raleigh Clay's Bunker in the Mire Region. Like most events that happen in the Mire region, Irrational Fear isn't suited for low-level players. For those who want to complete the event, follow these steps:
- Speak to Beckham.
- Protect Beckham while he collects honey from three hives.
- When he approaches a hive, a few Yao Guai and Honey Beasts spawn in. You'll need to take them out before they destroy Beckham.
- Beckham needs to survive until the end in order to complete the event.
While the steps are pretty straightforward, it's easy to fail this, even if you're careful. Beckham is a Mr. Handy robot, meaning that he doesn't have the highest health bar. The enemies that spawn during the event are pretty tough, so be sure to bring a good weapon to protect Beckham.
Rewards For Completing Irrational Fear
On the surface, the rewards for completing this event aren't that great. You'll get a random array of the following items for successfully completing this event:
- Caps
- XP
- Junk
- Ammo
- Weapon/Armor Piece
What makes this event worthwhile is the chance to get a piece of rare apparel. Completing any event in the Mire region gives players a tiny chance of receiving the Tattered Field Jacket, Traveling Leather Coat, or the Leather Coat. The chance of this happening is very slim. However, should you be lucky enough to be awarded one of those apparel pieces, then you can trade it with other players for some top-tier weapons and armor sets.
