Fallout 76: How to Get a Jet Pack (& How to Craft One)

In Fallout 76, the Jet Pack is an attachment for Power Armor and Armor Torso. It allows the wearer to temporarily float in the air in exchange for AP or Fusion Core power. The only way to get one is by learning its plan and crafting it on a PA Station or Workbench.

Many beginner Fallout 76 wonder how to get Jet Pack plans, as it may not be immediately obvious. Is getting one blueprint enough to craft all sorts of Jet Packs? Do players need specific plans for each armor set? How much do these plans cost? Read on to find answers to all these questions.

How to Get Jet Packs in Fallout 76

Common Jet Packs like the ones for the T-Series Power Armor can be obtained through quests or enemy drops for free. But generally, the player will need to buy the Jet Pack plans for a specific Power Armor or Armor set from vendors. Except for Hellcat, T-65, and Union Power Armors, all Jet Pack plans are sold for 3,000 Caps each.

How to Craft a Jet Pack

To craft a Jet Pack for a Power Armor, place the Torso on a Station and click Modify. To do the same for a non-Power Armor, modify the Torso on an Armor Workbench. Crafting Jet Packs requires the following materials:

Adhesive
Aluminum
Asbestos
Nuclear Material
Stable Cobalt Flux
Stable Violet Flux

How to Get Jet Packs for All Power Armors

The Jet Pack plans for T-45, T-51b, T-60, Ultracite, Raider, and X-01 Power Armor can be obtained through quests, enemy drops, and vendors. Hellcat and T-65 Jet Packs, however, are only sold at Gold Bullion Merchants. Union Power Armor’s Jet Pack can be bought from Giuseppe in the Whitespring Resort, in exchange for stamps. Excavator is the only Power Armor that cannot carry a Jet Pack, and Strangler Heart is the only PA that works with Ultracite’s Jet Pack.

How to Get a Jet Pack for Non-Power Armors

Getting the Jet Pack for the Secret Service Armor is the same as Power Armors. The player will need to buy its plans from the Fallout 79 vendor, Regs, or other Gold Bullion Merchants for 2,000 GB.
