Fallout 76 has multiple limited-timed events throughout the year. Some of these events come back every year, while others happen only once. The Uncharted Lands Challenge is a one-off event that takes place over a two-week period. Completing these challenges will unlock unique rewards that can't be obtained through any other means.

The rewards vary from unique CAMP items to useful consumables. For the most part, the challenges are pretty straightforward. That said, newer players may not know the best and easiest ways to go about completing them. This guide will go through all there is to know about the Pioneer Scout's Uncharted Lands Challenge.

Here's how players can get their hands on two rare outfits in Fallout 76.

Taking Camera Photos

ProSnap Camera

Several objectives required to complete the Uncharted Lands Challenge involve players taking camera photos. It's important to note that using photo mode on the map menu doesn't count towards any challenges that require you to take a camera photo. You'll need to use a ProSnap Deluxe Camera.

New players who have yet to unlock the ability to craft the ProSnap Deluxe Camera can do so by doing the Bucket List questline. It's a pretty easy quest that can be completed pretty quickly. Players may want to farm for some materials in order to craft a camera. Crafting a ProSnap Deluxe Camera will cost you the following materials:

  • 3 x Adhesive
  • 5 x Aluminum
  • 1 x Broken Camera
  • 2 x Glass
  • 5 x Silver
  • 3 x Spring

Pioneer Scout's Uncharted Lands Challenge Week 1

Lost Enemy in Fallout 76

As mentioned, the Pioneer Scout's Uncharted Lands Challenge is spread over two weeks. As a whole, the challenges are pretty straightforward. Before you can start completing these challenges, you'll need to head to the Atomic Shop and claim the free Marshall Mallow T-Shirt & Shorts. Then, you'll need to craft the item at an armor workbench. This outfit needs to be worn in order to complete the challenges.

Each challenge for the first week alongside their rewards can be seen below:

  • Take A Camera Picture Of A Lost While Wearing The Marshal Mallow T-Shirt & Shorts: 1 x Scout's Banner.
  • Take A Camera Picture At The Slumber Mill Motel While Wearing The Marshal Mallow T-Shirt & Shorts: 3 x Lunchboxes.
  • Deploy A C.A.M.P. Within The Skyline Valley Region While Wearing The Marshal Mallow T-Shirt & Shorts: 3 x Legendary Modules.
  • Collect 5 Purified Water While Wearing The Marshal Mallow T-Shirt & Shorts: Nuka-Cola Mix Pack.
  • Cook 5 Meals At Your C.A.M.P. While Wearing The Marshal Mallow T-Shirt & Shorts: 3 x Perk Card Packs.

Unlike previous limited-time challenges, you will need to complete all of the challenges for both weeks to get all of the unique rewards. Follow the steps below to complete the challenges quickly and easily:

  • If you fast-travel to Slumber Mill Hotel, you can complete three objectives in the same place. Slumber Mill is filled with Lost enemies. So, take a photo of a Lost enemy with the Slumber Mill Motel in the background. Then, run slightly north from there and place down your C.A.M.P.
  • Most players know how to build purified water collectors at their C.A.M.P. Either harvest some from your C.A.M.P. Or head to another player's C.A.M.P. And loot for unlocked purified water collectors.
  • As for cooking meals, if you don't have crops at your C.A.M.P. Then head to somewhere like the Wayward, and harvest some corn. Then grab some boiled water and make some Corn Soup. It's a quick and easy meal to make.

If you complete all 5 challenges for the first week, then you'll gain the ability to craft the I'd Rather Be Camping poster at your C.A.M.P. While it's not the most exciting reward in the world, it is still a unique item that you can show off to other players.

Pioneer Scout's Uncharted Lands Challenge Week 2

Thrasher in Fallout 76

The second week of these challenges has a better final reward. Just like the first week, the challenges are pretty easy to complete. You'll need to complete all of them to unlock the final reward. The challenges and their rewards can be seen below:

  • Take A Camera Picture at Johnson's Acre While Wearing The Marshal Mallow T-Shirt & Shorts: 3 x Lunchboxes.
  • Take A Camera Picture Of An Ant While Wearing The Marshal Mallow T-Shirt & Shorts: 1 x Scout's Banner.
  • Collect 2 Radaway While Wearing The Marshal Mallow T-Shirt & Shorts: Nuka-Cola Mix Pack.
  • Eat 5 Cooked Meals While Wearing The Marshal Mallow T-Shirt & Shorts: 3 x Legendary Modules.
  • Kill 2 Thrashers While Wearing The Marshal Mallow T-Shirt & Shorts: 3 x Basic Repair Kits.

All 5 challenges can be completed in just a few minutes. For those wanting some help, follow the steps below to complete this list of challenges:

  • Johnson's Acre is located right on the edge of Skyline Valley. It is at the southern end of the Savage Divide.
  • There are several locations where you can find ants. Ants often spawn at Thunder Mountain Substation, in the cabins at Dolly Sods Wilderness, Appalachian Antiques, outside the Lucky Hole Mine, and several other locations. Ants also spawn during the events Campfire Tales and Tea Time. Ants don't need to be alive for the challenge to be completed. It may be easier to kill an ant first before taking a photo of it.
  • You can be awarded Radaway for completing almost any event or quest. You can also craft it or purchase it from NPC vendors and C.A.M.P. Vendors.
  • Eating 5 cooked meals is a very easy one. Either cook and eat any animals you kill, harvest some plants to cook and eat, or check vendors for cooked meals.
  • Thrashers can only spawn inside the Skyline Valley region. While they have a chance to spawn in multiple locations, there are a few guaranteed spawn points for them; Naked Creek, west of Naked Creek, southeast of Big Meadow Gas Well, Research Site Bavaria, and north of Grindstone Arch.

If you complete all of the challenges for week two, you'll be able to craft Marshal Mallow figures at your C.A.M.P. And inside your shelters. Those who complete all of the challenges from both weeks will receive a little extra. For completing all 10 challenges, you'll unlock the ability to craft the Marshal Mallow Roasting Stick. This is a unique weapon skin that can be placed on several different bladed melee weapons.
