There are tons of different Protectrons that can be found in Fallout 76. Sometimes these robot guys will attempt to attack you, and some will be on your side. Either way, they can provide you with a decent number of drops, and can be used to complete daily challenges and quests.
If you're wondering where you can find hostile Protectrons, we will show you the best locations to spot them. Most of the time, they will be in areas that used to require extensive protection, like airports or large towns. Here's where you can find a large quantity of the robot protectors.
Fallout 76: Best Locations To Find Radtoads
Radtoads aren't plentiful enemies in Fallout 76, making them challenging to track down, but there are guaranteed locations where you can find them.
Where to Find Protectrons in Fallout 76
When looking for Protectrons, you might find quite a few that are not hostile towards your character. Instead, we will need to go on the hunt for some that are going to attack you, meaning you can defeat them to complete some challenges and pick up loot.
Beckley
For the first location to find some Protectrons, we are going to visit Beckley. To find this location on the map, head directly to the southwestern section. Beckley can be found near to Hornwright Air Purifier Site #04, and south of Camden Park. When you arrive in the city, you'll find a few Protectron enemies there. They'll especially appear near the Beckley Coal Mine Exhibit.
Watoga High School
To find Watoga High School, head to the southeastern section of the map. You'll find the high school south of Watoga, and west of the Flooded Trainyard. Directly outside the school, you'll notice a few Protectron Watoga Government Workers. These specifically can provide you with a good amount of steel and lead scraps. You can find quite a few in the city of Watoga as well, which will just require you to head northwest from the high school. The city as a whole is where you can most easily farm Protectrons.
Fallout 76: Snallygaster Locations
Snallygasters can drop many useful items including Waste Acid and Asbestos in Fallout 76. Here are some of the best locations to spot the creature.

Whenever you defeat some Protectrons, there's a chance to get a good amount of loot from them. With all the different types of Protectrons, here are all the items you can possibly get from them:

- Military-Grade Circuit Board
- Red Rocket Core
- Ammo
Outside just looting Protectrons, they are the most useful for completing the Cripple a Protectron daily challenge, which can reward you with 500 S.C.O.R.E points. Though these robots are usually on your side, sometimes they aren't and can be a good resource for completing quests and picking up useful crafting materials.
