Fallout 76's 14th Season, Fight for Freedom, was released on August 22nd through a substantial 11-GB update. The patch follows the well-received Blue Moon Season in June and the performance issue updates in July, bringing new items, characters, and missions to Bethesda’s immersive RPG world. There are quite a few changes that Fallout 76 players expect in Appalachia with the latest patch, and here are all the details of the August Season 14 update and its patch notes.
Notable Changes in Season 14: Fight For Freedom
Along with new Scoreboard items, Season 14 introduces new perks, allies, events, and auto-miners. Here’s what’s changed after update 1.85:
- Arms Keeper and Stable Tools perks added.
- An anniversary celebration challenge is announced.
- Grandma Junko, a new lite ally, can join player C.A.M.P.
- An Ore collecting auto-miner has been added.
- The new Presidential paint job is announced for Power Armors.
Two New Perk Cards
Fallout 76’s Season 14 gets two new perk cards: Arms Keeper and Stable Tools. The former reduces Rifles’ weight up to 75%, while the latter gives an automatic melee weapon stability bonus.
Birthday Party Event
To celebrate Fallout 76’s fifth anniversary, a two-week event will be held from November 7 to November 21. During this challenge, players will get to grab side quests from their Birthday Suits and complete them for special rewards.
Grandma Junko Lite Ally
Unlocked at Rank 35 on the Scoreboard, Grandma Junko is a new lite ally that can cook. Her debut will also shed light on her tragic backstory involving her lost grandchildren.
Auto-Miner Collectron
In an attempt to help with mining, a new Collectron is added to the game that specializes in Ore mining. The best thing about this new bot is that it takes care of all aspects of mining without a need for supervisors.
Oval Office-Themed Furniture
Oval Office items will be available for C.A.M.P. Decorations to match the patriotic theme of Fallout 76’s Season 14. These include a thematic desk, rug, curtain, and wallpaper that players can unlock by collecting S.C.O.R.E.
