On October 23 (Reclamation Day, according to Fallout lore), Bethesda will host its annual Fallout Day livestream, and there are plenty of things fans should expect to see, as well as a number of things they should be prepared not to see. Officially slotted for 10:00 a.m. PT / 1:00 p.m. ET, the broadcast promises "the latest news about existing Fallout games, community celebrations, and upcoming fan events" — a statement that is somehow both as clear and as vague as possible.
- Date and Time: October 23, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. PT / 1:00 p.m. ET
- Platforms: The stream will air on YouTube, Twitch, and Steam
- Post-Show: After the main broadcast, a 3 to 4-hour FalloutForHope special is expected to follow.
- Duration and Format: Based on previous Fallout Day broadcasts, the show will likely be around 30 minutes to an hour with a mix of announcements, developer commentary, and community segments.
Of course, a lot of rumors have been swirling around about what the Fallout Day broadcast might be showcasing, and there are certainly several things that fans should realistically expect to see. That being said, some of those rumors should be taken with a grain of salt, as Bethesda has not only been rather clear about what the livestream will cover, but the developer's timeline also puts a damper on its ability to deliver substantial news about its most anticipated Fallout projects.
What's Safe to Expect From the Upcoming Fallout Day Broadcast
Plenty of Fallout 76 News
With the Fallout Day broadcast aiming to give special attention to existing Fallout games, it would make sense, then, for Fallout 76 to hog the majority of that spotlight. The Burning Springs expansion is just around the corner, so it's in an especially good position to receive more news, particularly about the expansion's new Ohio region, quests, characters, and systems. In fact, last year's Fallout Day broadcast (the very first), primarily consisted of news about Fallout 76, and in light of its continued support in 2025, this year's livestream can be expected to follow a similar format.
Community and Fan Content
The "community celebrations and upcoming fan events" portion of the Fallout Day broadcast is a bit more difficult to predict, simply because anything revolving around the Fallout community during last year's livestream was done by the Fallout For Hope initiative once Bethesda's segment had concluded. That being said, this year is both the 15th birthday of Fallout: New Vegas and 10th birthday of Fallout 4, so it's possible the "community celebrations" mentioned could be tied to those anniversaries. As far as "fan events" are concerned, that could be anything from free Fallout 76 weekends, double XP, and Twitch drops to much bigger, more organized in-person events.
Once Bethesda's Fallout Day broadcast is over, though, the Fallout For Hope aftershow will begin, with 3 to 4 hours of fan and community-inspired content meant to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. According to a Reddit post by Fallout For Hope founder Kenneth Vigue (user ken4656), the Fallout Day post-show will be an opportunity for Fallout fans to "celebrate each other and how much these games mean to us" with "everything from cosplay to fan films, music, special guests, and prop building."
What Shouldn't Be Expected From the Fallout Day Broadcast
A Fallout 5 Reveal
While Fallout fans would undoubtedly love to see a big Fallout 5 reveal during the October 23 Fallout Day broadcast, it's highly unlikely to happen for multiple reasons. Firstly, Bethesda already stated that news covered during the livestream will include existing Fallout games, thereby excluding Fallout 5 from the conversation. Sure, it's possible the developer is only saying that to hide some surprises, but the likelihood of a Fallout 5 reveal taking place is even less considering the developer is presumably concentrating the bulk of its resources on the development of The Elder Scrolls 6.
News About the Leaked Fallout 3 Remaster
After some documents seemingly confirming an in-development Fallout 3 remaster were leaked during the Xbox/Activision Blizzard FTC trial in 2023, speculation has arisen as to when the potential title might surface — with this year's Fallout Day broadcast looking like a solid candidate to some. After the Oblivion Remastered rumors turned out to be true, it's reasonable to believe the leaked Fallout 3 remaster is real as well.
However, even if it is real, given the fact that Oblivion Remastered already launched this year, it's unlikely that the leaked Fallout 3 remaster will also be released in 2025. And considering how Bethesda handled the release of Oblivion Remastered (shadow dropping it at the time of its reveal), it would make sense for the developer to give the potential Fallout 3 remaster the same treatment and release it alongside its own reveal. As such, if the Fallout 3 remaster truly exists, fans shouldn't expect any news about it during this year's Fallout Day broadcast. Plus, the livestream will once again feature news about existing Fallout games, and although Fallout 3 does exist, a remaster of the title does not.
