Fans got a new look at Fallout Season 2 at Gamescom Opening Night Live, highlighting Lucy and The Ghoul's journey into New Vegas alongside Cooper Howard's flashbacks there. It seems fair to say that the hype has been high since the first Fallout season was so well adapted and reviewed, but as it gets closer and info drops like Gamescom are happening, it might have reached a fever pitch.

A few days ago, Prime Video released some promotional images focused on the three main characters: Lucy (Ella Purnell), The Ghoul (Walton Goggins), and Maximus (Aaron Moten). Of course, the iconic Fallout dog Dogmeat is also featured in these images. They confirmed Fallout Season 2 is taking the gang to New Vegas, which was no surprise given the ending of season 1, and it showed off some flashbacks of Cooper Howard in Vegas, too. Now, fans have a little more to chew on ahead of its release in December.

This new trailer confirmed that Fallout Season 2 comes to Prime Video on December 17. As part of Howard's flashbacks, fans got their first look at Robert House, who they may know better as Mr. House, one of many powerful figures in the beloved game. Mr. House is played by new cast member Justin Theorux. In good Fallout measure, the teaser even showed a little of an encounter with a Deathclaw. Check it out for yourself below:

Fallout Season 2 Release Date

  • December 17

Fallout Season 1 has had more than 100 million viewers worldwide, finding itself in the three most-watched shows on Prime Video ever. No doubt Amazon is hoping Season 2 hits similar numbers, and based on this one trailer, it certainly has potential. It understands the Fallout IP, does something unique and fun with it, and yet still manages to loop in a lot of Easter Eggs.

It'll be interesting to see how this season's Mr. House compares to the original, as well as how the overall city comes to life. But, if nothing else, it may draw fans back to Fallout: New Vegas, the game, and renew interest in direct sequels and spiritual successors; who knows, maybe Fallout: New Vegas 2 or Fallout: New Orleans could actually happen some day.
