Even though Fallout Season 2 doesn't have a release window or date as yet, the highly anticipated series is shaping up for an explosive return with plenty of leaks and theories about where the show will go next. Now, fans might get a glimpse at one of the show's most destructive and terrifying creatures in a behind-the-scenes image.
Adapted from Bethesda's long-running and beloved post-role-playing video game franchise of the same name, Fallout stars Arcane and Yellowjackets actor Ella Purnell, as well as Aaron Moten, Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias, Xelia Mendes-Jones, and Walton Goggins as they survive the aftermath of a nuclear war that wiped out most of America 200 years ago. Season one of Fallout has already been a huge success and, in turn, became the second most-watched series on Prime Video, with 65 million viewers tuning in to find out what happened next. With a lot to live up to this time around and filming of the new episodes already underway, it seems as though a new leaked image from season 2's set could showcase a sneak peek at the large and carnivorous creatures that plague the wasteland.
Fallout Season 2: 8 Things Fans Want To See The Most
Fallout's TV Series was officially renewed for another season. Here are some of the things fans want to see the most for Season 2.
Fallout Season 2 Leaked Set Photo May Tease a Deathclaw
Over on Reddit, a Fallout fan has showcased an image from the show's season 2 set that looks like it could be a small tease of what Fallout's Deathclaw could look like. Although the image seems to only show one massive looking claw, it's a fair assumption that it may belong to the creature as part of a larger attire, or it is a prop being used to showcase just the claw itself. This would certainly fit in nicely into how Fallout season 2 ended, where viewers were shown a skeleton of a huge horned creature with fanged teeth, giving fans a little tease of a Deathclaw in the show.
Previously, Fallout TV series co-showrunner Graham Wagner told The Wrap that they wanted to include Deathclaws in the show right away and wanted to build up the anticipation for this iconic creature so that it would be appreciated even more. "It’s such a monumental piece. We want to save something for Season 2 to be able to do it properly, not just add on to the massive world-building we had to do already in Season 1. So in Season 2, we’re very excited to finally tackle one of the most iconic elements of the games.”
In the comment section of the Reddit post, fans have been guessing what this prop or part of a Deathclaw could mean, with one believing that it could indicate a battle of some sort as "it's not CGI, it's largely an animatronic/puppet like the gulper," while another hoped it wasn't merely a "display outside a casino in New Vegas" to keep unwanted folk out. So far, there's no real concrete evidence just yet of Deathclaws but, as Wagner stated, they will be making their way into season 2 and likely causing the worst type of chaos possible.
There's no official date for when the second season of Fallout will return as yet, but it may likely arrive sometime in early 2026, so fans will have to hold onto their excitement for a little longer.
