Harvesting these plants will reward players with Healweeds or other types of plants like Alcheweed, Vitalweed, Cureweed, and more. Healweed is an incredibly common drop compared to the others, however, so you shouldn't have any problems stocking up.
Healweeds can also be purchased from any Material Shop in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time. If you need Healweeds to complete "A Painkilling Herb," just walk a short distance to the east to find a Material Shop that sells them for for 30 Dosh apiece. That's not a lot of money, even for new players who are just starting out. If you sell some unwanted goods, you can easily afford the three Healweeds required for the request.
Remember, requests aren't time-sensitive. You have as long as you need to scrounge up the necessary number of Healweeds. Just try and keep an eye out for the plants when you're leveling up your Lives.
