How To Change Appearance In Fantasy Life i
To change a character's appearance in Fantasy Life i, you need to unlock the Guild Office at the Base Camp. At some point during the chapter 3 quest in Fantasy Life i, the Digging Up Secrets of the Past, you return to the Base Camp to help Duglas transform from a Strangeling to a human with the help of the Goddess Statue.
Upon using the Bone Dragon to reach the present, you will be interrupted by a cutscene showing the Guild Office building. Enter it to speak with everyone and learn about the new mechanics you have.
Kunugi fills you in on what has been happening to the island and becomes your first Buddy. Speak with Cooke to learn about his services and learn how you can build your friends a house to stay at your camp. Get out and place the structure and wait for it to finish. Next, return inside and speak with Boyle, who also lists his services, to assign Kunugi to the empty house. Only then can you choose other options from Cooke and Boyle's services. You're looking for the latter, as Boyle is responsible for character customization in Fantasy Life i.
Approach Boyle and choose the Change Appearance option in Fantasy Life i. You will be taken to the same character creation menu you visited at the start of the game. The available categories are:
- Face Types
- Body Types
- Hairstyles
- Eyes
- Eyebrows
- Noses
- Mouths
- Ears
- Facial Features
- Voices
The only thing players can't change is their name, as it will stay with them through the rest of the gameplay. Anything else can be altered for free at Boyle's desk in the Guild Office at the Base Camp. It doesn't cost any Dosh or special materials to change a character's appearance.
