Far Cry 4 is a massive open-world action game with dilemmas and choices that will impact Ajay’s future in Kyrat. One of the biggest choices you will be faced with in the game is choosing to side with Amita or Sabal in the Balance of Power missions.

Amita and Sabal are vying for leadership of the Golden Path rebels. The potential leaders have their own factions and very different approaches to fighting back against Pagan Min’s authoritarian dictatorship. In Act 2, you can start the Golden Path missions by choosing to help Amita or Sabal after they're finished arguing in the shack, but should you side with Amita or Sabal in Far Cry 4?

Amita's Golden Path Missions
Hunt Or Be Hunted
If you choose Amita's first mission, then you will be tasked with gaining enemy intelligence by infiltrating enemy camps and looting bodies instead of helping to save a small village from attack by Pagan's military.
Reclamation
Choosing to help Amita means taking control of an opium farm operating inside an abandoned tea factory and using its profits to buy weapons and vehicles and fund the war against the regime.
Advanced Chemistry
Amita wants Ajay Ghale to defeat Pagan's forces at the brick factory where poppies are being manufactured into opium. Once defeated, Amita will gain more control over Pagan's drug empire to fund the rebellion.
Culture Wars
To accomplish his mission, Ajay must destroy the Jalendu Temple and liberate the people of Kyrat from an oppressive patriarchal regime imposed by the government.
Choosing to help Amita in this mission will ensure she becomes the leader of The Golden Path.
Valley Of Death
Amita requests that Ajay kill the soldiers manning the artillery guns that are bombarding the village of Utkarsh.
To Reap What You Sow (Amita)
This mission changes whether you've sided with Amita or Sabal. If you side with Amita, she will ask Ajay to kill Sabal and his followers and become the leader of the Golden Path.
You can choose to kill or spare Sabal during this mission. If you spare him, he will be exiled from Kyrat as Amita takes leadership.
Sabal's Golden Path Missions
Rebel Yell
After Amit and Sabal finish arguing, you can approach Sabal for his first mission. He requests that Ajay defend a small village from military attack at the cost of gaining enemy intelligence for Amita. Sabal feels that saving the villagers means more fighters for the cause.
Burn It Down
The rebels learn that Pagan Min is expanding his drug empire and using an abandoned tea factory to harvest it. Sabal wants Ajay to destroy the factory and burn the fields, and destroy any chances of a drug empire forming in Kyrat.
Basic Chemistry
Sabal wants to end the production of opium in Kyrat once and for all by destroying an old brick factory that has been used as a refinery for the harvested poppies. However, doing so would mean that the rebellion loses a significant financial resource in its fight against Pagan Min.
Cease And Desist
Sabal asks Ajay to race ahead of Amita's faction and force out Pagan's military from the Jalendu Temple as a symbol of tradition and hope for the people of Kyrat. Amita wishes to destroy the temple to free the people from traditions that create a lower social status for the Kyrati women.
Taking this mission from Sabal will solidify him as the leader of The Golden Path.
Take Cover
If you choose to help Sabal in the Cease and Desist mission, Sabal will send Ajay to rescue the town of Utkarsh from artillery attacks by the military and destroy the artillery.
To Reap What You Sow (Sabal)
If you choose to help Sabal, he will send Ajay to kill Amita and her followers to ensure Sabal's leadership, and he will become the leader of the Golden Path.
If you choose to spare Amita, she will be exiled from Kyrat as Sabal takes leadership.

Amita And Sabal's Endings
Picking Amita As The Leader
With Amita taking control, she puts an end to traditions, but she enslaves the men and women into working the poppy fields, and the children are conscripted into her army. Amita is potentially worse than Pagan Min, and her actions will likely result in another Kyrati civil war.
Picking Sabal As The Leader
With Amita out of the way, Sabal seizes control of Kyrat, establishing a theocracy and executing anyone who opposes him. Sabal rules the people of Kyrat using violent and extremist methods, claiming that any opposition to him is a crime against the Gods, promising to cleanse Kyrat with blood.
Picking Amita Or Sabal As The Leader In Far Cry 4
There isn't an easy answer when it comes to siding with Amita or Sabal. Both characters become tyrants, forcing the people to live in fear and/or slavery. Or, you can kill both leaders, the first during the "To Reap What You Sow" mission, and the second after claiming power. If you do so, Ajay will be attacked by the rebels, who will become permanently hostile and attack him on sight.
