Farlight 84 is an early-acces battle-royale style game that is often compared to games like Fortnite and Overwatch. While there are a few comparisons to make on the surface, Farlight 84 is a game all its own, and it's amassing its own dedicated fanbase of players who find the game uniquely enjoyable and fun. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, the players' one goal is to survive. With an already diverse roster of characters, players can choose which Capsulers, or survivors, suit their needs and play styles the best.

Unlike other battle-royale games, Farlight 84 isn't about the best shooter. With 4 different 'hero roles', there's more than one way to play the game. In the game's main game mode, HUNT, players use a variety of things to keep themselves alive and to destroy their opponents. There are the standard weapons and shields, and then there are jetpacks and vehicles that also make up a core aspect of gameplay. Most of these things require energy to work, and these are a few ways that players can gain energy quickly.

What Is Energy Used For?

Energy is used to power up many things from jetpacks, to certain weapons and vechiles.

Energy is a very important resource in Farlight 84 as a lot of different things consume it to work. Jetpacks consume energy and won't fly if players don't have enough. Shield Cores will consume energy when not in combat, some weapons and vehicle skills consume energy. Energy is also needed to open Energy Chests and Energy Stores, which help players get advanced equipment that will give them the edge to survive and win.

All of these things require a lot of energy, so players have to keep an eye on how much they have and make sure to charge it when they can. Players can gain more energy through Solar Batteries that are set up in different places on the map. However, batteries can be pretty slow to charge. There are, however, several other ways to get energy at a faster rate.

Go Outside

Players cane regain energy from just being outside in the daytime.

Players can automatically get more energy by just going outside in the daytime. It's a passive and effortless way to gain energy and doesn't require running around the map to get to specific areas. However, staying outside to regain energy can potentially leave a player exposed to others. Using a shield can help with a player's defense, but it also drains the energy the player would have just gotten.

Players should try to use the surrounding environment to take cover, with enough creativity almost anything can be used for cover. For example, players can use the airdrops for cover. They can also potentially use them to bait other players to snipe them off.

Defeat Other Players

Another way to gain energy quickly is for players to do what's expected of them — take out other players. Aside from having one less enemy to worry about and potentially scoring some good loot, players can take the energy of defeated opponents for themselves.

How much energy a player gets varies as it depends on how much the other player has. Be careful when picking up loot as there might be other opponents around wanting to take advantage of the situation.

Charging Poles

The best way to recover energy is through charging poles.

The Charging Poles are the best and quickest way to gain more energy. The issue with using the Charging Poles is that there aren't many around and that most players will be looking for one, making the Charging Poles a dangerous area. But the risk is often worth the reward as a Charging Pole will fully power a player up.

Farlight 84 will launch in 2021 for Mobile and PC.
