Killing Floor 3 is a highly anticipated sequel to the popular wave-based shooter franchise that gradually makes players powerful as they progress further. The game features extensive skill trees, with each series of nodes requiring a specific level to unlock. While playing through the maps and surviving as far as you can in each one is a great way to farm decent XP, there are ways that you can level up faster in Killing Floor 3.
All Killing Floor 3 Editions, Explained
Killing Floor 3 features different editions, including the Elite Nightfall edition, which comes with bonus items to kick off your zombie rampage.
Doing Runs on Normal Difficulty in Killing Floor 3
One of the first things players can do to farm XP is complete multiple runs on Normal difficulty mode in Killing Floor 3. Once players complete some tutorial missions and get familiar with the hub, they can select from eight maps and choose the difficulty for each. Going to hard or Hell on Earth difficulty at the start will likely get your character killed quicker, resulting in a partial XP reward at the end.
The best approach is to follow the main questline and choose the maps that these indicate. It's important that you choose the Normal difficulty before launching into a map to increase your odds of completing it by 100% and getting complete XP rewarded to you at the end. With every XP gained, you'll be able to unlock more skills and upgrade the ones that suit your build to make the next runs a lot faster and help you level up faster.
Once your character reaches past level 10, you can try the Hard difficulty to earn more XP per map clear. It's important to play with the character you're most comfortable with, as the XP does not transfer over to others, and you'll need to level them up separately.
Normal difficulty is easily manageable for players who prefer doing solo runs. Just make sure you've opted to play solo on the title screen.
Completing Daily & Weekly Assignments
On top of your regular map clears, it's essential to keep an eye on your daily and weekly Assignments, which will refresh periodically. Each of these assignments can easily be completed, and you can complete multiple in one run. Since they often refresh, you can knock these out quickly before the next batch of assignments are online to earn additional XP on top of your mission clears and level up fast.
While the daily ones are easier to manage, you'll need to gradually work towards completing your weekly Assignments as they'll net you the most XP. If you're playing regularly, then farming XP won't be a problem for you if you keep knocking out Assignments in Killing Floor 3.
