Fast Fusion has revealed its first content update arriving for the exclusive Nintendo Switch 2 launch title. Long-time fans of the series may be happy to see a revised track returning from a series game that released prior to Fast Fusion.

Fast Fusion is the follow-up to Fast RMX, with the franchise having been a recurring presence on Nintendo consoles for quite some time now. While Fast Fusion received pretty good reviews, it's not entirely perfect, and this new content update will also work to address one of the most common complaints about the game since its launch, while also adding fresh content.

As previously stated by the developer, Fast Fusion is getting a content update that will add a couple of new features for players. According to NintendoLife, one of the biggest exciting details of the update is that it will be adding a returning track from Fast RMX. Alpine Thrust will be making a return, with revamped visuals and gameplay elements, alongside other courses. However, developer Shin'en Multimedia has not yet stated which other tracks will return, nor how many of them will be added to the game.

Fast Fusion Will Fix Issue Players Have Complained About

Additionally, Fast Fusion has revealed a new graphics mode. While Fast Fusion is using the improved Nintendo Switch 2 specs to deliver the game experience in 4K for the first time, some players have still complained that the visuals have looked blurry. In response, Fast Fusion is adding the "PURE" graphics mode, which gets rid of anti-aliasing and reprojection. This should cut down on the blurriness and make it easier for players to visually track what's going on at any given time in the fast-paced racer.

Unfortunately, so far, the update hasn't made mention of fixes for some of the other pressing issues players have brought up with the game. For example, unlike fellow Switch 2 racer Mario Kart World, Fast Fusion lacks online matchmaking.

At this time, the development team still hasn't revealed a date or release window for this planned update. Since the game only came out a few days prior to this announcement, players shouldn't expect it to appear in the immediate future, though the developer began work on the update before the game was even released. With 12 existing tracks, new mechanics, and a surprisingly low price for a Switch 2 game, players can get a lot of fun out of the racer. Since players are already making significant investments in just purchasing a Nintendo Switch 2, and with more content in the works for the title, Fast Fusion is definitely something worth checking out for new Switch 2 owners.
